My Grandpa told me stories about being in Korea, and the Korean troops would sometimes surrender because they had no food and were starving and knew that the americans did have food and would feed them. It's pretty sad when being a POW is better than still fighting for your countries beliefs.

. It was awesome when the wind shifteed and the smell of steak wafted down to those conscript guys sleeping on deck.
They jumped up to attention and their ship hauled ass over the horizon.. Yes, we were waiving those steaks at them.
