badr battle was fought between a group of old and arrogant men from quraish and a group of pissed off young muslims. As narrated in one hadith books one of the sahabahs was quoted after the battle was done something like : we've just beatten down a bunch of old farts.

the point is to show to the world that Islam for the first time in the human history invented the rules and established things that were unkown until that time.have u heard about cart of medina.thats the first writen constitution about human rights and freedoms in the human history. but if u go to the west.they will say there is no such a thing.but "magna carta liberta from 1255" is the first writen constitution abou human rights..

@Choblik romans didnt have constitution..they had law..laws in plural..but the constitution about human rights and freedoms for the first time is established in Medina by the prophet Muhammed saws personaly..google and u gona see that
