If you look at the JPL diagram on NASA's site you will see that the closest distance the asteroid 2011 SO5 comes to us is .0144 AU at 37m size the asteroid that passed us on the 27th came within .0016 at 13m size, which means that SO5 will come about 5x distance between the moon and earth, which is sorta close, but the 27th was 9/10 closer to the Earth then this asteroid. check the JPL again. Thanks.

BTW, you can't infer much from a simple animation, and it's hardly an accurate scientific depiction. The pastor seems to be unaware that it is common for asteroids to cross the orbit of the Earth. A recent one came within about 1/5 of the orbit of the Moon, about only 50,000 miles. This is still like a pebble passing 10 feet from a world globe. Certainly an impact would fulfill Rev 8:8, but you should pause at how frequent these really are. God really is in control.
Though we couldn't find the link to the original site the pastor was viewing, we found some other links that show animations of this asteroid passing. It will pass 5 times the distance to the Moon, not very close compared to other such events. Another link gives the lowdown on today's 1PM NASA press conference, to discuss near-Earth asteroids in general and the WISE mission. YouTube won't let me post the links but they are posted at the Classical Astronomy Facebook page.
Condition Code 8 refers to the orbit of the asteroid. It means the orbit is uncertain, "MPC "U" parameter: orbit uncertainty estimate 0-9, with 0 being good, and 9 being highly uncertain" sooooo IT DOES NOT mean a "imminent Impact" as in the Torino Impact Hazard Scale. I appreciate your videos but I think your wording is a bit strong in this one and you might have jumped the gun a little.
Paul, I have reviewed NASA's website, (and done an advanced google search but I CAN NOT find ANYTHING that says "imminent impact" for asteroid 2011-S05 You need to cite your sources please. I trust and appreciate all of what you say. Be academic about your research / findings. Please provide a link to your report that uses this language. I've reviewed the JPL model and it shows a closest approach of .004 (Earth Distances, whatever that means) but nothing even remotely similar to YOUR verbiage.
@exegezel You can find this ifo by going to Space Weather and scrolling down to the bottom of the page. There you will see a list of incoming "objects". Click on one and from there you can learn to work the projected path ect. Scroll to the bottom of that page and you will find the Condition Code in a list on the right. You can also go to JPL , a much better site for Comets ect. Hope that helps !

Yes, 2011 SE58 was a close call, 0.6 lunar distance from earth is scrapping by with respect to astronomical distances. The one passing on the 28th is like 5 lunar distances .. quite a good distance. The condition code they reference is to accuracy of the orbit.. not the Torino Scale you reference.. Stick to the word.. not space data Peace

Paul, are you serious!? On the day you claim there will be impact, you can look at the Earth distance, and see this rock isn't getting any closer than 5 million miles from Earth. Also, it is a small asteroid, and if it did hit, it would not even cause regional damage, let alone global. The hype has got to stop. This kind of disinformation will actually hurt your credibility. Stick to the message you know, and leave the astronomy to the astronomers. The truth in love isn't always fun to hear.

It looks like they hit but they dont because the "asteroid" crosses at the same piont they all got their own tranjectory path.. Earths is higher so, cross over yes but hit... no... it be the tail after the cross where the earth will pass through the tail which consist of meteroites and we should have a meteroite shower and it this I believe will hit the earth.

If you look at the JPL diagram on NASA's site you will see that the closest distance the asteroid 2011 SO5 comes to us is .0144 AU at 37m size the asteroid that passed us on the 27th came within .0016 at 13m size, which means that SO5 will come about 5x distance between the moon and earth, which is sorta close, but the 27th was 9/10 closer to the Earth then this asteroid. check the JPL again. Thanks.

BTW, you can't infer much from a simple animation, and it's hardly an accurate scientific depiction. The pastor seems to be unaware that it is common for asteroids to cross the orbit of the Earth. A recent one came within about 1/5 of the orbit of the Moon, about only 50,000 miles. This is still like a pebble passing 10 feet from a world globe. Certainly an impact would fulfill Rev 8:8, but you should pause at how frequent these really are. God really is in control.

It will pass 5 times the distance to the Moon, not very close compared to other such events. Another link gives the lowdown on today's 1PM NASA press conference, to discuss near-Earth asteroids in general and the WISE mission. YouTube won't let me post the links but they are posted at the Classical Astronomy Facebook page.

Condition Code 8 refers to the orbit of the asteroid. It means the orbit is uncertain, "MPC "U" parameter: orbit uncertainty estimate 0-9, with 0 being good, and 9 being highly uncertain" sooooo IT DOES NOT mean a "imminent Impact" as in the Torino Impact Hazard Scale. I appreciate your videos but I think your wording is a bit strong in this one and you might have jumped the gun a little.

Paul, I have reviewed NASA's website, (and done an advanced google search but I CAN NOT find ANYTHING that says "imminent impact" for asteroid 2011-S05 You need to cite your sources please. I trust and appreciate all of what you say. Be academic about your research / findings. Please provide a link to your report that uses this language. I've reviewed the JPL model and it shows a closest approach of .004 (Earth Distances, whatever that means) but nothing even remotely similar to YOUR verbiage.

@exegezel You can find this ifo by going to Space Weather and scrolling down to the bottom of the page. There you will see a list of incoming "objects". Click on one and from there you can learn to work the projected path ect. Scroll to the bottom of that page and you will find the Condition Code in a list on the right. You can also go to JPL , a much better site for Comets ect. Hope that helps !

I really enjoy listening to your word, however Im somewhat disappointed at the false statistical data you have been presenting. Yes, 2011 SE58 was a close call, 0.6 lunar distance from earth is scrapping by with respect to astronomical distances. The one passing on the 28th is like 5 lunar distances .. quite a good distance. The condition code they reference is to accuracy of the orbit.. not the Torino Scale you reference.. Stick to the word.. not space data Peace

Paul, are you serious!? On the day you claim there will be impact, you can look at the Earth distance, and see this rock isn't getting any closer than 5 million miles from Earth. Also, it is a small asteroid, and if it did hit, it would not even cause regional damage, let alone global. The hype has got to stop. This kind of disinformation will actually hurt your credibility. I personally believe they were too scared to make such an absurd announcement of a 9.0 magnitude to the public because Japan has never seen one that big before. This does not scare me at all. Even tho Jesus said to watch many will stop watching for fear but it won't stop what is going to happen. Rebuke that spirit of fear and remain on post. @ppdrawings i am trying to stay strong but it is so much going on. i figure if i dnt look at it then i want be caught up in fear i know it will get so much worse.I just think ppl should live in love and not fear. if we fear then we will also run and hide the day of his coming. i know i am not the only one in fear from these videos. everynight, everyday i am looking at what will happen. god said when they peace and safety sudden destruction.it will happen when we feel safe not when we expect it.

once again Paul; the Condition code IS NOT interchangeable with Torino impact code. The Condition code reflects the accuracy of the plotted orbit, 1 being most accurate. Torino impact code is totally different! Check those charts!! People were posting this on Facebook yesterday MANY missed that!! So do edit this before u have people scared for their lives!! It looks like they hit but they dont because the "asteroid" crosses at the same piont they all got their own tranjectory path.. Earths is higher so, cross over yes but hit... no... it be the tail after the cross where the earth will pass through the tail which consist of meteroites and we should have a meteroite shower and it this I believe will hit the earth.
