Mics aren't everything, where the sound gets recorded on also matters and EQ levels. I can have the best mics in the world, but if they are going into my Gameboy from 1990, it will probably still sound like shit. But yeah his drums could sound better.

to be fair, they did kinda drop the political stuff a bit to reach a larger audience... i liked new american gospel, loved as the palaces burn, liked ashes of the wake, liked the production and musicianship of sacrement but not the lyrical content as much as prior albums, hated the redneck single, and havn't really listened to the new album much because it all sounded like redneck first time through. i'll give it another shot someday... regardless, 11th hour still gives me chills.

I completely agree. Seems like Randy's been slacking lyrically and on Wrath they seem to repeat a lot of riffs unlike ashes of the wake. You can pick up most of the songs just by hearing them one time. The good thing about them is that they go well for a show.

and all of the bands you just listed are all Death and/or Black Metal, two genres that usually get no airtime no matter what they do. Lamb of God would only be considered sellouts if they had i.e., book deals, clothing lines, or were conforming to radio friendly media, none of which they have done. Saying Lamb of God is a sellout band is basically saying that any band that isn't dark and morbid and aren't listened to by a select few are sellouts.

Thanks man! I actually have a really nice mixing board that I mix 6 mics down with into Nero Wave Editor via a USB Audio Adapter. Then, I use Nero Vision to merge the audio from the song with my playing and the video.
