  • I saw Yundi Li perform this nocturne at Carnegie Hall last year. I thought he played it too fast, as I think most people do. I love your tempo/pace.

  • That is a great compliment. Thank you so much!!

  • beautifully played, great sound quality as well , i enjoy your videos

  • Biffer5, u are my role model!!! Im still fine tuning my c# minor nocturne....will i ever get there?? this has so many flats !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @princesingapore

I am honored! Keep working that c# m nocturne. It's such a pleasure to play. Every time I play it I learn something new. (I'm not sure we ever "get there"... but that's OK because as long as we continue to learn the work stays vibrant.)

  • Amazing performance! You are very very skilled. This sort of thing is *not* easy!! You sure do make it look easy though, gee whiz. Keep it up! =D

  • Damn! What talent! Thanks for sharing your gift!

  • Many thanks Kathleen. Coming from you that means a lot.

  • This is one of my favorite nocturnes, and such a wonderful performance - thank you Peyton!

  • One of my favorites too. It's probably the first Chopin nocturne I ever heard and I fell in love instantly.

  • Peyton - Outstanding! You look and sound like you have complete control of this piece and your piano.

I enjoy watching you play - you seem to really get into your music.

  • Thanks!

  • Hello.......I got here from Piano World Forum...... Beautiful playing!! You really make the piano sound great. Terrific dynamic range, and especially, nice rubato/flexibility of rhythm.

  • Thanks.

  • just beautiful really just too beautiful thank you for making my day!

  • I somehow missed the second video, shame on me! This one is beautiful too. You tackled the flow and emotion wonderfully. I can hear where the piece goes in each single bar. Moreover, the piano sounds lovely too!

  • Beautiful piece and very sensitive rendition. Kudos for making a hard task sound fresh and moving.
