AVP R was really stupid and the whole predailien impregnation thing really didn't make sense since only queens can make other aliens. Also, the films are obviously bias... predator fan-boys galore in the films, why can't they accurately represent them as equals? If they plan on bieng biased they might as well change the whole series to cat vs. mouse. Its obvious that aliens are much more fierce than the AVP movies make them out to be. Still, AVP 1 was at least slightly better and more equal.
no, the Predalien in AVPR (nicknames "Chet"), was a Queen, look it up, listen to the audio commentary on the DVD, read the making-of book etc, she is supposed to be a queen. The queen facehugger thing was made up for Alien 3, but never put in the film, it was cut out.

The queen doesn't make the aliens, it makes the face huggers. When the face huggers attach themselves to a human, a baby alien bursts out of their chest. If you have watched the 1st AVP like you claim you have, you would know that the predalien is what you get when the facehugger attaches itself to a predator instead of a human.

i only had one problem with this movie whih was the acting. for some reason when i see it, its never dark. not to mention the fact that this film was an improvement over the first avp......except in acting. at least this one was rated R. btw i'm pretty sure this will offend people but look at aliens if people with guns can kill aliens a predator can easily kill them. btw the reason the alien was hard to kill in alien is because they had no decent weapons and it could hide everywhere.

Yeah Wolf is awesome, I would like to see him in action in Camerons Aliens... I might offend someone because one may think that i try to compare avp-r to Camerons Aliens but, I would like the idea of making AvP in the style of Camerons Aliens plus a Predator like Wolf running there around. Great fight scenes we can't f--king see clearly enough to fully enjoy it's visual shock value. This film has the worst cinematography that I've ever seen in my entire life. Daniel Pearl created great visuals and lighting for the Strause Brothers. But it was all ruined by the Strause Brothers. They don't respect what the fans want, they have moved on and left the film.....to rot in piss poor DVD and blu-ray conditions. This is the worst nightmare for the fans and for the franchise.

AvP is great because of the talented director's, actors and screenwriters who created the Alien and Predator movies and the skillfull writing and artwork of the comics. The AvP movies are a merely a shadow of what they could've been.
I admit a AVP sitcom or musical would be taking it too far but I thought both the AVP movies were good and like I said Im no movie critic so I dont realy care about the acting and all that besides half the times the humans are realy the only actors and they usually die anyway.
the pred knows he's outnumbered so OD on gadgets is acceptable. Funky weird predalien acceptable mainly cause it's cool and works OK but not great. Aliens acceptable. OD action OK as long as there is story. Like a sunrise sunset on a scene after a facehuggers has a snog. lets time pass in 6 seconds obviously
Hopefuly stroy wise the pace will be better than the last and there won't be any continuity mistakes and will not mass murder the continuity of both characters.
We all know tht the acing pretty much sucked, but any real alien or predator fan would of loved avpr. the action was freakin ownage, and the gore added to the awesomeness. Plus they brought back a few things from the original farnchises, which was pretty cool
That's the way i see it too! The acting really sucked and the plot spends far too much time with these stick figures and not enough with the ALIENS and Predators. The action was better than AVP, but the last fight between the Predalien and "Wolf" was pretty disappointing and too short.
The films i liked the most were alien,aliens,pred 1 and 2 u cant beat the originals but i always wanted 2 know what it wud be like 2 have an aliens vs preds film ive got 2 say both films the acting was crap but the only good thing was fight scenes 10 out of 10 for that.

I have just watched the movie, and it very very good, only the few actors are lame. But action, gore and new predalien are awesome!! Predator is a mean motherfucker, alien doesn"t stand a chance, but predalien is a different story. My rate from 1-10= 7. Best part after Alien 2(ALiens).

Maybe. The Yautja (aka predators) are mostly independant. And There's no real solid cannon plot around if the Jockies created the Aliens. But assuming they did, I think the Preds just pretty much found one of the jockies egg cache's, used them to breed queens, make their own caches, and the variouse clans use them for different hunts and rituals.

Well, dont forget, both species have had aliens in their lives for a long time. We cant even be certain just how long. (The fossilized Jockey and the Preds having them in the B.C. years.) They've deffinantly had time to study them.
What if the space jockeys have been at war with the Yautja over galaktic dominance. The Aliens were theire new weapon, but the Preds suprised them by sabotaging theire containmentsystem. The Aliens turned on theire creators and later on became the ultimate chalenge for the now dominante Yautja species. The war ruined the world of the yautja, so that they had to travel further into space. They found planets like earth for backup and hunting. Just a little part of many ideas!
all very good points. no one knows just how far back the aliens go, but if the Youtja did find them there was probably a predalien epidemic in the beggining when they didnt know what they were up against and when they got that handled they could have studied the species
The Yautja tend to avoid war, it's why they have their laws and tradition. No one but them knows their homeworld's location. It's why if possible they try to make sure no one ever sees them and live. I'm sure they've had wars between themselves (Such as a clan that not suppose to b hunting in one planet while the other was given rights.)

ok so i have a theory .... it may be way out there but, i personally believe the predators created the xenomorphs specifically for hunting cause predators have been coming to earth for thousands of years. they used genetically enhanced aliens for the right of passage for the young ones.
both avp movies lack what the original alien/predator movies had. the first alien movie was a mix of sci-fi/horror. the first predator movie was a mix of action/horror with sci-fi. the avp movies remind me of proffesional wrestling, all fighting and action, but very little in the way of a story. to the casual movie goer thats just fine. but to people who remember how great the originals were, avp falls way short.

I saw the movie. I came to see fights between aliens and Predators...and i found what I was looking for! I didn´t pay any attention, when the annoying humans where on the screen, but when the shit hit the fan..I was fully awake and enjoyed what I saw!

"A perfect Circle" isnt crap(trust me, they make awesome music) I guess this has something to do with music preferences. Its the same for me when people use rap-music for certain scenes or something. I think that some rock-tracks are perfect for scenes like this, because the action gets more dramatic and the scene has more atmosphere.
I just came home from seeing AvPR. For me, it was great! It showed me exactly what I wanted to see. A powerfull Predator fighting masses of Aliens. Still, the Aliens give the Predator hell as well, more than once he gets his ass kicked too. Concerning the acting! HAHA There were good parts, but more than once I was laughing my ass of cause of a stupid line geeing even more stupidly pronounced! But thats all, I laughed at it. Next Pred/Alien scene, I forgot those things fast!
i waited 3 years and a half to see this movie, i remember i went to see AvP in 2004, first day of it's release.. i did the same for AvPR, and i don't regret it, i got what i wanted, Blood, aliens and predator fights.. human getting killed here and there.. basically, the AvP movie i was waiting ever since day one..
if thats what you wanted then im happy for you. but true fans of the alien/predator franchises expect a whole lot more. i expected a good story,good acting,and a reason to wanna watch another avp movie. i got none of those. in my opinion the movie didnt do anything that hasnt been done before.
The movie did show new stuff, and was in my opinion on the level "confrontation of both species and theire atmosphere" realy cool. Yet thinking the other way, It could have been a lot better, at least in the hands of a more experienced director, better cast and bigger budget. I think it will need a genious like Cameron or Scott to realy bring up something extraordinary. VS-movies are tough to get right I believe. Lets hope!

yea the movie as a whole blows but if you extract just the predator's role its grayt man.
Dont want to spoil but shit man, you didnt put it in but fack what a hunter walking into alien's lair and setting up targeting sensors, and the way he dispatched two aliens so calmly.
Ultimate hunter. But yea the humans in the movie blow chunks, except for the Army Commander and Yutani.

Great fight scenes we can't f--king see clearly enough to fully enjoy it's visual shock value. This film has the worst cinematography that I've ever seen in my entire life. Daniel Pearl created great visuals and lighting for the Strause Brothers. But it was all ruined by the Strause Brothers. They don't respect what the fans want, they have moved on and left the film.....to rot in piss poor DVD and blu-ray conditions. This is the worst nightmare for the fans and for the franchise.

There was no Alien 5 dude. There was a rumor about it sequaling Alien Resurrection, but apart Sigourney Weaver telling them "No" repeatedly, the profit made off A:R told them it was a better idea to sweep it under the rug.
BUT...They just announced a new Aliens game for the consoles! They're making a new version of "Colonial Marines" Looks awesome! Its in this months Game Informer. 2009 is going to ROCK!

AvP is great because of the talented director's, actors and screenwriters who created the Alien and Predator movies and the skillfull writing and artwork of the comics. The AvP movies are a merely a shadow of what they could've been.

the pred knows he's outnumbered so OD on gadgets is acceptable. Funky weird predalien acceptable mainly cause it's cool and works OK but not great. Aliens acceptable. OD action OK as long as there is story. Like a sunrise sunset on a scene after a facehuggers has a snog. lets time pass in 6 seconds obviously

We all know tht the acing pretty much sucked, but any real alien or predator fan would of loved avpr. the action was freakin ownage, and the gore added to the awesomeness. Plus they brought back a few things from the original farnchises, which was pretty cool

That's the way i see it too! The acting really sucked and the plot spends far too much time with these stick figures and not enough with the ALIENS and Predators. The action was better than AVP, but the last fight between the Predalien and "Wolf" was pretty disappointing and too short.

The only way to have a perfect AVP movie, is for someone whom equally favors both. I think I'd make an ok 1, even though on the favoritism charts the Predator is a number higher than the Aliens.

I have just watched the movie, and it very very good, only the few actors are lame. But action, gore and new predalien are awesome!! Predator is a mean motherfucker, alien doesn"t stand a chance, but predalien is a different story. My rate from 1-10= 7. Best part after Alien 2(ALiens).

and to explain the jockeys the predators may have been in agreement with them and the jockeys held large amounts of eggs and in return COULD potentially use them for bio warfare ... i know this has holes too but it is the only way i could connect the story lines with how they set up the AVP movies lol

Maybe. The Yautja (aka predators) are mostly independant. And There's no real solid cannon plot around if the Jockies created the Aliens. But assuming they did, I think the Preds just pretty much found one of the jockies egg cache's, used them to breed queens, make their own caches, and the variouse clans use them for different hunts and rituals.

good points. i mostly just believe the Youtja could have created them because they have vast knowledge about them and the pred alien seemed like something new to them. Another theory is the aliens were just a species of their own that both the jockies and Youtja found useful

What if the space jockeys have been at war with the Yautja over galaktic dominance. The Aliens were theire new weapon, but the Preds suprised them by sabotaging theire containmentsystem. The Aliens turned on theire creators and later on became the ultimate chalenge for the now dominante Yautja species. The war ruined the world of the yautja, so that they had to travel further into space. They found planets like earth for backup and hunting. Just a little part of many ideas!

all very good points. no one knows just how far back the aliens go, but if the Youtja did find them there was probably a predalien epidemic in the beggining when they didnt know what they were up against and when they got that handled they could have studied the species

The Yautja tend to avoid war, it's why they have their laws and tradition. No one but them knows their homeworld's location. It's why if possible they try to make sure no one ever sees them and live. I'm sure they've had wars between themselves (Such as a clan that not suppose to b hunting in one planet while the other was given rights.)

both avp movies lack what the original alien/predator movies had. the first alien movie was a mix of sci-fi/horror. the first predator movie was a mix of action/horror with sci-fi. the avp movies remind me of proffesional wrestling, all fighting and action, but very little in the way of a story. to the casual movie goer thats just fine. but to people who remember how great the originals were, avp falls way short.

I saw the movie. I came to see fights between aliens and Predators...and i found what I was looking for! I didn´t pay any attention, when the annoying humans where on the screen, but when the shit hit the fan..I was fully awake and enjoyed what I saw!

"A perfect Circle" isnt crap(trust me, they make awesome music) I guess this has something to do with music preferences. Its the same for me when people use rap-music for certain scenes or something. I think that some rock-tracks are perfect for scenes like this, because the action gets more dramatic and the scene has more atmosphere.

I just came home from seeing AvPR. For me, it was great! It showed me exactly what I wanted to see. A powerfull Predator fighting masses of Aliens. Still, the Aliens give the Predator hell as well, more than once he gets his ass kicked too. Concerning the acting! HAHA There were good parts, but more than once I was laughing my ass of cause of a stupid line geeing even more stupidly pronounced! But thats all, I laughed at it. Next Pred/Alien scene, I forgot those things fast!

The movie did show new stuff, and was in my opinion on the level "confrontation of both species and theire atmosphere" realy cool. Yet thinking the other way, It could have been a lot better, at least in the hands of a more experienced director, better cast and bigger budget. I think it will need a genious like Cameron or Scott to realy bring up something extraordinary. VS-movies are tough to get right I believe. Lets hope!
