Solution to end google STOP USING IT BECAUSE IT SUCKS BALLS
google spys on people it doesnt respect peoples privacy rights, we need to do a video about what the founding fauthers thinks about google, and how stalin hitler and mao love it that would be epic, who wants to use a nazi search engine ?
IF YOUR SEARCH ENGINE DOESN'T FORCE GOOGLE INSTANT ON USERS, YOU HAVE ALREADY KILLED GOOGLE... IT IS AN EXODUS FROM GOOGLE ALREADY, GOOGLE INSTANT TOTALLY SUCKS...
GOOGLE RUINED ITSELF... ITS REALLY, REALLY BAD NOW AND EVERYBODY I KNOW HAS SWITCHED TO MICROSOFT BING!
Not only is Jason a douche - he also is clueless...
So let me get this straight - the top 10 publishers form a committee and collectively go to MS and say they will ban Google from indexing their sites - and then give exclusive indexing rights to Bing - WTF!!!!!!
What will happen in a year's time is those "top 10" publishers will then make way for a new generation of publishers that do allow any search engine to index their sites. Please Jason - stop trying to come up with crazy ideas - u suck
if new york times, could only be viewed on ming. then the change would be to dramatic and kill page views.. people naturally use google.. so people would just use a different news site...
dude that guy is a fucking retard. sites do not want to ask for money from google because google gets their site MILLIONS of views. and say new york times does that, google would be like "fine we dont need you, goodbye" killing new york times. new york times doesnt want that
MS and News Corp very well may form an unholy alliance - Google will shrug. People don't use search in the way Jason is suggesting. If you want News Corp content specifically - you go to those sites. If you want information, you go to search, and you find thousands of sources repeating each other. You'll find a blog reporting on and summarizing the same story that the WSJ or Fox "broke" - and Murdoch loses out completely on any chance to capture that audience.
I agree with "shikengriuber" its no big loss to google and no big loss to top publishers but it will kill google monopoly.
I am from Apple but i am sick and tired of people talking about microsoft monopoly. Isn't Apple trying to monopoly iPods and music store business ? isn't google trying to monopoly search ? Every company who has a market share of 60 + percent will try to monopoly its core product landscape.
Stupid. People who too blinded by their own habits. They think just because you would switch to Bing because YOU need the NY Times doesn't mean 99% of the other people do. Also if you need NYT you go directly on it. A lot of the 20-25% of the readers Google brings couldn't care less if it's NYT or another source.
It would be (partial) suicide not to be on Google. The revenue is one thing but more important is just having a presence there. For many people, if it ain't on Google it don't exist.
Holy cow, this show is crap.

1) I couldn't phantom that a company would jeopardize their customers accessibility and survival over money for a one year contract.
2) If they do have enough funding to take on 10 top companies, I'm sure they have enough funding to innovate better ideas to get more market shares.
3) Don't think that users would uninstall google.
4) Don't think Google wouldn't try to counter such strategies.
I only watched this video clip, there might be more to it.

"Jason Calacanis shares how Microsoft Bing can kill Google by partnering with news organizations such as the New York Times."
Get the NSA/CIA on board to spy on U.S. citizens.

If that would happen it would not kill google but it would kill google monopoly.
Interesting thing is that google got more money then others and they could offer much more.

I won't swear to it, but the kind of group refusal to deal that you're suggesting could be a violation of the Sherman Act.

i think that if NY Times is only available on Bing, NY Times i´ll be killed, not Google.
There are so many more sites than this 10 that u list, i think they will not affect so mutch google.
Besides, u can list the same notices trhou others sites, that will be alredy on google.
Google rules this search, not the sites.
It´s that think that so many people don´t understand yet, that now the consumer decides what they want, not the company anymore.
