Regarding the web-site design cost: The only reason open-source web applications and CMS like Drupal, Joomla, Media-wiki, PmWiki, etc. were developed was that creative people won’t have to pay a fortune in getting professional help in setting up and designing web-sites. They have been designed and documented so that anyone with basic computer knowledge can use them. Why don’t you take advantage of open source and free contents? And the hosting from Godaddy/Yahoo will hardly cost you $70/year.

I'm a little skeptical about donating. We heard this before with FreeSpeechVids and then Galen went on a huge rant on BlogTV calling everyone who donated less than $20 "cheap fucks". I'm really not inclined to donate given the past failure and being called a cheap fuck.

Regarding the web-site design cost: The only reason open-source web applications and CMS like Drupal, Joomla, Media-wiki, PmWiki, etc. were developed was that creative people won’t have to pay a fortune in getting professional help in setting up and designing web-sites. They have been designed and documented so that anyone with basic computer knowledge can use them. Why don’t you take advantage of open source and free contents? And the hosting from Godaddy/Yahoo will hardly cost you $70/year.

I really disagree that TGWTG is a one man show at this point, it has proggressed so far since those days and added a lot of really talented people to the site, along witht he partnernship with Blistered Thumbs, many people actually think other contributors like the Cinema Snob or Spoony is superior and sometimes their videos have higher hits.

@VEHEMENTBLACK naw I'm pretty sure @darksyde1029 is correct. The very definition is of the word drowned means you would have died and stayed that way. You wouldn't say "I drowned when I was a kid", you'd say "I almost drowned when I was a kid" even if you added "I was technically dead for a second". To be" legally" pronounced dead, it would have to be by the authorities, coroner or some such person. By that point, you wouldn't be able to be brought back... so unless you're a zombie or ghost....

I don't understand how this website would turn out much differently from thatguywiththeglasses; wouldn't a few of the contributors end up becoming more popular than the others over time? I would think that even with a diverse array of content providers, some would turn out significantly more popular than others, since you can't force viewers to like one subject more than another.
