I personally dislike Martin strings as they rust fairly quickly, therefore I would recommend that you give Elixir strings a go. You'll never use a different set ever again.
@awsomemct Yes you're right, they do rust quickly, it's such a shame. But tonally they are exquisite, so that's the price you pay I guess. I have tried Elixir, a few times, but found them lacking.
These binural sounds really do help me to get to sleep if Im ever struggling to drift off, I just put my headphones on, close my eyes and then I fall asleep fairly easy.
I dont know if anyone else does this, but it works for me.
And thank you I now have several more sounds to sleep to thanks to you XD
this is my favorite video! im not sure how you could do it, but one of my favorite triggers is watching people take long tests in class and crossing out answers and highlighting and then bubbling in that dreaded scantron! just an idea :)
Hey, I can't help but wonder if you play fingerstyle acoustic? The only reason I ask is because I notice the nails on your right are nice and shaped, and the nails on your left are clipped short.
This is my favorite video by you. I love how gentle you are with everything. I can't seem to find other good silent unboxing videos. Keep them coming! <3
@Anthemic24 Thank you very much, I'm glad you like these. :0) By the way, you might like to look in my playlists on the main channel of favourite videos; there are a fair few videos in 'Special Sounds' (120 so far) and many are unboxings.
Its really relaxing anyhow, the fact that the box was hard to open made it more relaxing! Even though I'm 17, my Mom won't let me near a knife because I had an unpleasant experience when I was younger.
A more technical question... since audio is very important in these videos, I was wondering if you recorded, edited, and uploaded using lossless codecs as much as possible (i.e. PCM, FLAC).
Lovely Soundsculptures--from the opening struggle with the cardboard box to the unspooling of the strings, to their re-insertion into the paper envelopes. Lots of paper-on-paper friction and with high sound quality, as usual. Thank you.
@ImTellingMyStory Hi! Yes, I've tried virtually every string out there. I wouldn't usually get extra lights but this is for a short scale instrument. It's usually either Martins or D'Addarios for me. I tried Ernie Balls on electric before, super slinky's, but didn't like them as much as D'Addario.
Yep, I can hear it now. I just need to stop messing with my speakers, haha... There was less sensation without the sound but it was definitely still there. At times I could "hear" the sounds, even though there was no sound. My imagination/expectation was filling in and causing the sensations on its own.
Thank you for the video SoundSculptures! That box sure put up a fight..!
And thank you very much for the mention in the description! I really need to put up a few more videos soon. Just a few weeks now and school is over. Then I have some spare time again. =)
It's the funniest thing... The other day I was having audio problems with my comp and the video I was trying to watch was your other one titled "Silent..." I didn't know I was having problems - thought the video was just silent. Later I realized I had problems and fixed them. Today I viewed this one and had the same audio problem again, haha... so forgetting the other day, I saw "Silent..." again and thought these were silent on purpose, lol... I feel so silly. XD
@TumblingPenguin Hehe, that's funny... and yes, technically it's not 'silent', but I think it's become the norm to call these silent just because no talking and no music. Interesting that you got some asmr without the sound. Can you hear it now? Did you get more sensation without sound altogether?
I would called that package every thing but a white box by 2:40

If so, you could do a great video on that! Just don't mention my name in the video description please :P
