Every team would have a spot for Jordin on their roster, hands down.

I do take every year into account...along with the difficulty of competition at the times certain franchises were great and the amount of effort each franchise has had to put into obtaining great talent and the resulting hall of fame players. The conclusion I've drawn from this thought process is that what the Red Wings have done as a franchise over the past 20 years is more impressive than the Canadiens 21 championships before the existence of first round byes in the playoffs.

The greatest team in history can't literally be "proven" because everyone uses different criteria in regards to something that subjective as well as having different interpretations of that criteria. I don't think people consider any criteria other than championships when considering Montreal the greatest.

If you would read the entire conversation, I already explained how the Wings weren't a great team until great Canadian players started playing for teams in U.S. cities back in the 40's, early 50's. In the early 50's, the Wings won 4 cups in 6 years...most would call that a dynasty. The fact that you don't even think the Red Wings belong in the "upper echelon" of the NHL is entirely absurd. I'm still not sure what you're referring to with the "irony" concept as I wasn't complaining to begin with.

I'm just emphasizing the fact that the wings are no longer the leader in the central division anymore. Wings are in the 8th spot and barely in the playoffs at this moment, so, they are definitely a lesser team this year. which also supports the fact that they are practically in the basement if they play any worse.

He is not a horrible player either. He has very good skating ability and is a decent passer and has a very hard slap shot. His role is the definition of an disruptive player and he has above average talent for a player of that caliber. To say his only talent is punching people is a typical statement from someone who does not have the opportunity to watch him play 70 or so games a year. Every team would have a spot for Jordin on their roster, hands down.
