The reason Frogger cannot swim is because he ate the Frog-Frog Fruit (a type of Devil Fruit). Yes, I just made a One Piece reference on a review of the surprisingly good port of Frogger for the Atari 2600, which is unsurprisingly much better than the ports of "Pac-Man" and "Donkey Kong" issued for it. OK, so it has a bit of flicker but one can easily forgive that.

naah, the traffic on the highway doesn't do that in australia hahahahahaha. that would worsen australia's 22 million population! it would be more like 500,000 population if traffic did that yeah! this game doesn't make any sence and it's unrealistic, because how often does a frog try to cross the highway, then jumps in to the river floating on shit and logs and drowns in water where frogs like to be in. but it's still fun!

I dont know who made the first frogger game but of the first one I saw was in arcades by Frogger by Konami in 1981 I dont recall it on a console but it was best of first one

This is what the video game industry has forgotten, games are meant to be fun, no matter how insane the idea, if it's fun, and people like to play it, it's a good game. Graphics are only meant to enhance the experience, I look forward to when developers recall this detail.

One thing I never understood is the size of the frog in compared to the car or semi-truck. When was the last time you saw a frog that big?

1st: that's a game for children and children are creative, they don't care about that, it's only an adults' concern;

2nd: the old consoles were more limited in terms of memory and processing capabilities;

3rd: a smaller frog could look too squared;

4th: the frog is the main character, it shouldn't be too small...

So, in my opinion that's a great game, very well coded and with a good, funny, entertaining and educational theme. Miss my childhood and Atari 2600 times...

Well I take back what I said. I'm still not as good as GLC, but I can hit level 5 now on a regular basis, I just needed some more practice. I love the ditty in this game when you start it up/finish a level.
