Thank you so much for posting this - it is one of my favourite sketches and I've been reciting as much as I could remember to everyone I know - now I can show them the original!
Ooh, Sprich mal Deutsch; I remember that textbook. Frau Ehlers could only ever cook "Spiegelei mit Bratkartoffeln" (fried egg with fried potatoes), which pissed Herr Ehlers off no end.
I am so embarassed to be german...but, honestly, our first english books weren't that much better! :D
