  • thanks for posting this

  • swing like this guy and you ll be in good shape, check it out, Alessandro Melle Swing

  • Ernie's swing is a thing of beauty...Tiger is off balance on his follow through but funnily enough not when he's picking the Trophy up, as usual.

  • Acceleration

  • and the title goes to ERNIE!!!

  • ACCELERATION

  • tigers swing looks violent in this one....

  • tiger... off balanced as usual

  • tiger off-balanced at the end... ernie perfect tempo

  • 00:56-00:59 Best Swing Ever

  • Seems like everyone is pulling the club around with their left side. Hmmmm... maybe their on to something. :)

  • @kukke25

    they all are the best!!!

    they repeat!

  • Ernie Els is the best

  • god, johan edfors swing is just flat out ugly

  • On the other hand, if you need any wood chopped around the homestead.... ;-)

  • @NikeGolf35 I think its ryan moore, not edfors

  • @AlexH09

    no

it looks nothing like ryan moore at all

  • @WestBromSte true, sorry for that

  • @NikeGolf35 yea thats easy to see behind the lines .. pro from inglewood

  • @NikeGolf35

Yeah, but his ball flight is pretty as can be.

  • Why do Erniels and Retief Goosen have such especially relaxing swings? What do they do thats so special? I wish I could know their secret. I want to know how they do it more than anything. I means alot to me that I could swing like that.

  • Not as much forcing with the body as some of the other players. Very much a body-supporting-true-swinging-motion kinda thing. (Cf. Mickelson and Couples.)

  • stewart cink is a great swing for us tall folk to mimic, great balance and rhythm in that move

  • Comment removed

  • it really looks like rose at address. but i am 100% sure that is sean o'hair's swing. if you told me to guess who it was before he drew the club back, i would say rose, but that swing is 100% for sure sean o'hair.

  • its a 1000% NOT Justin Rose ....its 1000% Sean O'Hair

  • it's sean ohair 100% sure

  • What hole is this?

  • Old VJ is soo smoooooth

  • who is the second guy?

  • Justin Rose

  • ernies is the best here

  • How good does the impact sound from Ernie Els? That swing is awesome.

  • that was johan edfors

  • that first swing was fucking horrible

  • that would be barry obama

  • Who is the black guy at :59????

  • is that a joke??

    Tiger Woods !!!

  • can't believe he asked that! XD

  • who is the guy at 0:26? he has a nice swing!

  • Trevor Immelman

  • tiger woods dumpweed

  • Who was the black guy that hit last. It looked like 50 Cent.

  • wow do u live in a card board box??

  • hahahahahaha

  • Yep they do, and they make it work

  • everyone has their own unique golf swing!

  • Very interesting. Most pros don't seem to have textbook swings, but all effective nonetheless.

  • Wang I was thinking the same thing. I get so hung up on technique some times. Maybe they're all the same from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock?

  • I hear ya I am a technical freak. My coach tells me to stop working on my swing and just try to get a good score.

All these players are diff from 9 to 3. Some take the club inside some take the club outside. Some start with hips some with shoulders. Some set wrist cock early some set up late.

  • Trevor Immleman @ 25s

  • whos the little guy at 25.00 can some one send me a message 2 tel me who it is

  • trever immilmen

  • trevor immelman

  • Is :30 David Howell?

  • Yea ur right

  • :50 hells yeah!!!

  • who´s the first guy?

    that´s a wear swing

  • johan edfors i think?

  • Ryan Moore

  • Its Edfors.

  • Cabreras a beast!

  • dumb spic

  • who ever made this video.... Thank you

I've always wanted to see someting like that. Posting up by a tee box and seeing professionals drive straight and far.

  • Justin Rose's swing is so nice.

  • rose is not in the vid! its o hair.

  • no its rose

  • trevor immelman!!!! i love that guys swing

  • Alot of these guys have that "drop in move" like segio

Edfors, Sean O'Hair, Stenson, Vijay Charles Howell, and of course Sergio

  • DIDE SCOTT WAS OUT INJURED

  • Looks like McCarron killed it!

  • Maybe true, but definitely not in this vid because he's not in it.

  • @gman0674 ummm.. the first guy is edfors for sure..

  • @VJT34 Agreed, obviously. I was responding to someone complimenting Justin Rose's swing, but that comment seems to have been removed. They seemed to have him confused with Sean O'Hair.

  • he's the first golfer in the video

  • @bigeddielad Johan Edfords is the first golfer, but thats not who i'm referring to. New look youtube muddles the comments around. I was replying to someone who was complimenting Justin Rose's swing.

  • @gman0674 he is the first one

  • @mikeysaund That's Johan Edfors, he has a fairly recognisable swing.

  • OMG Gossesn's clubface is so closed at the top of swing,,thas why he is always fighting a hook...still a great player tho lol!

  • :) Garcia got a "wow what a shot" from some lady ;P

  • why does tiger woods driver sound sooooo pure?? :D

  • Wow Luke Donalds swing! Brilliant!

  • second is justin rose ,luke donald great swing

  • not justin rose. look at sean o'hairs on youtube. the uprightness of his swing is signature along with the lanky body.

  • sup blademungs

  • i liked sean o'hair's swing the best out of the bunch...then luke....and then retief. all these players swing good...hence their on the tour because of it. not to say one swing is better than the other. nice vid. hearing all those sweet spot hits make me want to go out and play. Vijay didn't hit it so good though.

  • sean ohair? hes not in this video.

  • who's the guy hitting second?

  • justin rose

  • that is not justin rose......that is sean ohair.

look up justin rose on youtube and you will find that justin's swing is flatter.

  • my bust it looks so much like justin but it is sean

  • edfors sucks goat shit, cabrera ftw!

  • did you hear tht women on 43 seconds??

    "Wow, what a shot!"

    Stupid Bitch

  • someone tell we why luke donald has the ball setup on the hozel of the driver?

  • loads of pros do that; Nicklaus, Palmer, Fuzzy Zoeller, Vijay Singh, Ernie Els has started to with his driver, Bernhard Langer and countless more.

It basically is because these guys have a shallower downswing than backswing. Therfore they really attack the ball from the inside and placing the ball on the heel allows them to swing like this.

Quite a few pros put the ball on the toe; Paul Mcginley, Zach Johnson to name but a few.

  • cabrera is a beast

  • Stenson is a beast

  • cink's a cunt, cabrera ftw

  • Tigers balance with his driver is poor at times.

  • oh undoubtedly, tiger beats half of the players in the field before he even hits a shot just due to his presence these days. However Immelman has actually beaten him, whilst having him breathe down his neck on a back 9. Theferore that mental ability coupled with a solid swing, could create a future for a great player

  • Too bad Immelman hasn't won many tournaments in the beginning of his career. The start Tiger had was really a boost that propelled him right to the to at the start.

  • the biggest hitter of all time is bernhard SCHLONGER

  • hahahahahhaha

  • i'm sorry, but your just wrong about appelby. His swing looks mechanical, look to els, immelman and o hair for the most natural and therefore best swings. Also, on what grounds are you comparing him to norman? Are you reffering to those majors which appelby has won or his non existent time as world #1

  • Immelman's swing is no where near natural. He tows his right toes in at address and painfully limits all the lower body action in the backswing. Then he rotates his body with all that he's got in the downswing. That kind of action requires a lot of discipline and body restriction.

However, Ernie does have a good, natural swing.

  • Agreed, but Sean O' Hair isn't in this video. The Golfers, in order, are:Johan Edfors, Justin Rose, Stewart Cink, Reteif Goosen, Angel Cabrera, Stuart Appleby, Henrik Stenson, Trevor Immelman, Vijay Singh, David Howell (I Think?), Sergio Garcia, Luke Donald, Ernie Els (3 Times), and Tiger Woods. Maybe you thought that Henrik Stenson was Sean but just check his backswing plane with other videos. It's not Sean O' Hair.

  • He probably meant rose, they both have a very upright action.

  • I agree Apples' swing doesn't have the rhythmic flow of Els', but hardly anybody's does. I also like Immelman's and O'Hair's. Reread and you'll see I was talking about technical rightness and on-plane position.

Re Appleby v. '93 Norman, I was talking about similarity in the mechanical rightness and distinctive compactness of their swings. Had zip to do with record. Again, reread. As for needing major wins to validate an admirable swing, how many do Immelman and O'Hair have, smart guy?

  • At no point did compare immelman or o hair to world number ones, i simply stated that both players have natural swings and both have huge potential. As for 'Mr Bluski' and 'moo690' watch the video more closely it is O Hair. If you still can't tell from his obvious swing differences to rose, then read the 'about this video section'. Also learn to spell, it's Retief.

  • "At no point did I compare...I simply stated that both players have natural swings..."

Not sure I agree with "natural" (although both are very good, very useful), but yeah--I agree with you, the whole point of the vid and most of the discussion had to do with the quality and features of the swings, not the competitive record of the player. Obviously there's way more that goes into a player's record than his swing. Tiger was killing people long before he had one of the best swings on tour.

  • immelman now has a masters title hahaha

a flush swing is beneficial, a focused mind outdoes it all

    thats why tiger is #1

  • Well said. Tiger is the greatest mind in golf, since Nicklaus. Top four ever: Jones, Hogan, Nicklaus, Tiger. I'm not sure Nelson doesn't belong in there somewhere. (I love Snead, but he was a freakish natural talent who had more of a money-match mentality; not saying he wasn't super-tough, but just not quite to the steely level of Hogan, Nicklaus, or Tiger.)

I'm just wondering...does that username mean you've seen Comfort and Joy, the Scottish film (Bill Forsyth)?

  • no sorry i havent seen the movie

its just one of my many nicknames

it would be amazing to get inside the heads of those four aformentioned players

their thought processes would be incomparable to ours as amateurs

  • "no sorry i havent seen the movie"

Well, you oughta, esp. if you like subtle humor rather than the constant Farrelly-style barrage. It's a damn funny film for anybody with an attention span. The protagonist is a Glasgow DJ whose on-air name is "Dickie Bird." He has a kleptomaniac girlfriend, the story involves Mafia turf wars over ice cream truck territory, etc. It all makes sense when you watch it. Comfort & Joy, by Bill Forsyth (not the other movie of the same title).

  • "their thought processes would be incomparable to ours as amateurs"--Maybe, but I don't know. I think you'd find comparisons where people don't expect it. Like, you don't question for one millisecond your ability to get in your car and drive it somewhere, even though the physical actions and mental calculations are complex, certainly more complex--and potentially more dangerous--than a golf tournament. I think Tiger has that every day when he tees it up.

  • Psychologists call it self-efficacy, and he has it in spades--a total belief in himself that he doesn't have to drum up or contort himself into for one second. It's an almost casual certainty in the level of your performance.

  • The first player is Johan Edfors from Kungsbacka in Sweden. Heja Edfors!!! Kör hårt 2008

  • Appleby and Luke donald are the two best swingers of the club in this video, any one who says appleby isnt doesnt have a clue about the golf swing!

  • Agreed. Appleby is so technically good it hurts (look how perfectly on-plane, for starters, including the clubface). Don't know what happened to him after that great run early in the season a couple of years ago, but I'd love to see him get into that challenging-for-#1 class. His swing here (and when he was on that run) reminds me of Norman's best action during his great period as #1; I'm thinking particularly of that last round of the '93 Open. Just nutted every shot.

  • Immelmans swing is absolutely amazing. Its a pity he doesnt win stuff anymore.

Its by far the best on the video.

  • Immelman does have a technically beautiful swing, so dead on plane. Lots to learn from there.

  • Come to think of it, look at how unbelievably similar Immelman is to Hogan at several key points. Incredible.

  • pit no more! he does have a nice swing

  • Appleby?? Ur joking....Immleman swings it too quick sometimes...But why does Tiger seem to hit a huge cut shot?? Garicia's is the best thou....

  • Also, i reckon the longest person there is prob, stenson els cabrera, or obviously tiger at the end, but there all massive, immelman is pure lush, shame he cant win something again

  • I'd put Appleby in that crowd also

  • does justin rose wana get a nicer swing please??!?

  • thats fair enough but justin rose isn't in this video

  • i swear it is, the 2nd golfer in?

  • it's sean o'hair.

  • Applebys ya boy i think youl find look at his plane!!!!

  • Immelman's swing wins hands down.

  • I wonder who hit the longest of those first few? I bet cabrera or stenson

  • luke donalds swing defo best

  • i think stewart cinks finish is a joke.. thats why he's a PERFESSIONAL golfer :)

  • Ernie Els is HUGE!!!!!

  • is stewart cinks finish a joke or is he serious?

  • Johan edfors

  • who was the first guy to tee off?

  • Get your own footage rather than rippin mine!

  • i love your mom's asshole when i am finished ramming it and filling it full with sperm

  • phil's raw talent > tiger's raw talent

  • HAHA. That is the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

    Tiger 12 majors, Phil M, 3

Tiger owns the scoring record in all 3 majors. Phil M owns none. Tiger 6 straight USGA Championships. Phil ..............

Basically doubled1776 has made an erroneous statement with literally nothing to back it up other than hyperbole. Good Post!
