@steffono3 Im so sorry for your loss was he very old I heard they can live up to 25 years stendeck is 5 now and I cant imagine still having him in 20 years but it would be nice. Will you get another quaker there must be a massive gap to fill now. Hugs
@CHloE748 thats a shame, it takes years sometimes and nearly 24 hrs a day attention they are like children birds are so I am glad I had Stendeck before the kids came or he would be a crap pet too lol
I miss my blue Quaker, Charlie. My housemate accidentally let him go on 14 November 2008, from Prospect, NSW Australia. I'd give anything to have him back.
That's a quaker. They don't just come in green, they can be white, yellow & blue too. Search "quaker babies", I think there is a vid here of different color babies.
I had a blue queaker...He was my best friend... Sadly he passed away. He used to do the same thing when it came down to tickles... lay on his back and close his eyes!
Oh wow, how in the world did you get him so tame? I also have a blue quaker but he isnt as trusting. He likes to be on my shoulder but not touched much. Then again he is quite young. How old is yours?
What a sweet Quaker! That is pretty unusual for them to be so laid back! I have a very sweet green quaker but I don't think he would let me massage him like that! lol I am raising a clutch of 5 baby Quakers. You should stop by my site and see them. Their parents have 6 more eggs in the nestbox. Once those babies hatch they should be ready for a rest.
The only real way to tell the sex of a quaker is to get DNA some people can tell by the shape of the head which is slightly different, one sex has a higher brow and the other sex is more sloped whit which is wich I cant remember. Thanks for the comment tho, stendeck is a real softy.
I love your bird! I also have a quaker, Jade. She is about two years old, and she is a bit of a feather plucker, but she is such a sweety! By the way, blue is my favotite color!
He is a real softy, he lets me go in his beak and gently file his claws and beak when they get sharp. I am very lucky I know even the sweetest of birds are not always as placid.
So cute :)

Can you give me some tips on how to tame my bird???
EmosRuleMyWorld 4 years ago
When taming a bird, depending on if its nippy or not always be ready for accidents with biting. So what kind of bird do u have?
JPFAN5 4 years ago
Um this is my other username. I have a parakeet and shes quite tamed now!
XOclandestinepunk 4 years ago
