to be honest, there really was no central plot. what it's really about is a traveler by the name of Kino. she visits different countries, never staying for more or less than three days. as Kino herself states, there really is no "destination", but it's just about her experiences as she moves along: the people, things, and places she sees. ultimately, it's more of an anime for the philisophically inclined viewer
