Credibility is the issue here Jesus Christ spoke more about hell than heaven so either Jesus was lying or telling the truth. The Apostles testified they saw Jesus alive after he was buried and all but one died a martyrs death. If Jesus was lying and the Apostles and many others were lying what would be the motivation? Liars typically do so for gain not pain. If the answer is that they gave credible testimony then we value take their teaching on hell above all others .
