  • I am an aspiring Holistic clothing stylist and you gave words what Ive been struggling to express about how beauty can be a doorway to helping people connect with there consciousness and expand upon that awareness....Thank You for being brave enough to showing up as your True self and using that Beauty to inspire the beauty in others.

sending lots of love your way <3 <3 <3 <3

  • You have such a beautiful mind.

  • @kawaiimusicbox Thank you! I grew it myself!

  • I hope the essence of this message gains more popular acceptance over time, SisterUnity; we'd have a much different world if we more consistently valued beauty, both in the world around us and in one another. Thank you for this post!

  • Part 2. ...am watching Sister Unity & pondering her perfect pronunciation, extensive vocabulary & her obvious spiritual evolution, I suddenly realize, or so I think, the long filaments she uses as eyelashes are actually peacock feather filaments. We used to have peacocks here at home. One of the males used to eat grapes from my lips. They cut silent farts & will chase you all over the place if you tick them off. He liked to drink rum & coke, too. Thank you, Sisters, O.P.I., for your great vids.

  • @reyvisigodo Thank you for the exquisite journey of your note!

  • Part 1. Phuhnny, how one sets off on a 6-degrees-of-separation trip thru Youtube & finds so many interrelated videos with staggering theological implications from the most unexpected sources. I discovered Sister Unity on the right hand margin containing Youtube video suggestions while watching Sister Crap's narration of Snow White after watching Youtube video on John Burnsides (radical faery) 90th Birthday Party in which the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence make an appearance. Anyhoo, as I...

  • I want the long eye lash thingies.... o_o

  • This is not ignorance, but a choice to find peace and share peace. The lesson life teaches, if we are prepared to learn.

  • @ihadthisdream1 thank you very much for the anecdote and your thoughts.

  • There was a marked difference between the age groups in which slides they remembered. The younger people remembered more of the violent or shocking slides, while the older people remembered more of the slides portraying love and beauty. This proves that as we age, our focus moves from absorbtion of all of the world and the darkness in it, toward appreciation of what is most important in this life, which is enjoying each moment, privately or shared with others we care for. We learn to edit.

  • Thank you for being a teacher, I hope there are lots of willing students watching your videos. I read a study that tested what types of memories we focus on at different ages. They showed young adults and senior citizens a series of slides of various subjects, some violent, some benign, some beautiful, portraying love of family and peace. Afterward they were asked to recall as many of the slides as they could.

  • Is that you with no makeup at 4:09? I've always been curious about what you look like with no makeup.

  • @SarahRachel59 it is not me... all the other pictures are me ("makeup"?). It is a wedding at which I officiated (the very next picture is me that day, 18 inches away) on June 17, 2008, the first day gay marriages were legal in California.

  • you are beautiful

  • You need a fairy costume as well!

  • @RainbowGoodfellow I always thought so too.

  • What a lovely message! ^-^

I agree entirely :) Beauty and culture lift us above the beast. And there is much unnoticed beauty that is taken for granted, I believe :)

Also, may I ask which white make up you use?

  • Make up?

  • Oh! Pardon me *blushes*

  • are you a taoist?

  • I practice Hinduism. Taoism started me on my journey.

  • Thank you, sista.

  • lost

  • I lost

  • bahahaha O___O

  • .....Are you a butterfly?

    the fuck?

  • She is a butterfly! I am a seagull.

    What are you?

  • @djwaugust i'm a praying mantis. for real.

  • waht

  • wtf cannot be unseen!

    must wash eyes with bleach!!

  • rocket scientist!

  • love the way u look

  • I remember seeing the film Moulin Rouge and hearing the Bohemians motto being "Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love" and thinking to myself "those are pretty good values to live your life by".

    They will do for me.

  • they might have added, "Balance the checkbook" too.

  • We were and still are, harasssed beaten and oppressed by society for being gay, lesbian and transgendered.

Many times, the people causing this oppression would hide behind sweetness, which of course lead to our bitterness.

For instance, there is the fake Christian smile, which hides the fact that they are passing laws to kill you. But they are doing it for your own good.

Anger, cynicism and pointed attacks were a good tool.

    Sister here talks of trascendence.

  • Yes, anger has it's useful and righteous place! (read what Krishna said to Duryodhana when Yudishtira cussed him out)

Anger and a firm stance in your truth can wipe away a device of false sweetness.

you are right; I do mean genuine sweetness.

  • Maybe the juncture between beauty and sweetness is that there are some beautiful souls. There's been more beauty in my life since I quit looking at the body and started looking at the soul, of anyone I meet. Thank you for another wonderful video, most beautiful Sister.

  • Beautifully said.

  • Ah yes!!I remember it well...the days and times within our community when it was popular to be a bitch. Cunning, cold, harsh words that cut like a knife. It has indeed lingered on but it is a new dawn! It IS nice to be nice! If we would just take on the notion that if we can't help one another the very least we could do is to make sure we do not hurt one another. We must know in our hearts that kindness is not weakness. We could be so good at this if we all try! Thank you sister for your kindness.

  • thank you for giving us "Kindness is strength"

  • You are welcome. :-)

  • beauty can be found everywhere if you open yourself to what is around you. Lovely pics at the end too sister

  • Thank You, SisterUnity. I will take your words with me on life's journey.

  • hmmmm yes. and beauty can inspire spontanious stillness as well. isn't that why you looked at the painting for so long? perhaps not even realizing it.

    still love you, sister unity.

  • this is absolutely correct. Thank you for adding this. It's very important.

  • SisterUnity, You're so Beautiful on so many LeveLs. I think You Oughta be in pictures, the movie kind.

  • EN URUGUAY TE AMAMOS

    HPI DEL URUGUAY

  • You speak right to my heart, Sister. Thanks for adding beauty and sweetness the world.

  • Truth, Beauty and Goodness -

How'd you get so damn smart anyway - hugs from Oklahoma. I adore your videos.

  • VERY well put! Great philosophy.

  • Thank you Sweetness.

  • Sister Unity, I was just talking to Novice Sister Midgie Boo and we both agree that your manifiestions are BEAUTIFUL!

  • Your videos always make me feel so uplifted and full of love. How I adore thee, Sister Unity. You are, in every way, as sweet as your delicious words. :) x

  • Beautiful, inspirational video as always Sister Unity. You're beautiful!

  • Thanks SisterUnity :-)

  • Wonderful! Thank you!

  • what is you thoughts on the homosexual community being so concerned with body image and age?Do you think its become more shallow materalistic and superfical?

  • well.. which gay community? The 20 to 35 year olds who go clubbung usually get this critique. But you find that in the straight communities too, especially in large urban centers. And then there are allll the less evident folks, esp. older, or coupled, rural, non-bar-going, etc. And, this question is hardly ever raised with lesbian women.

  • Good point about straight communities!

I am thinking lesbian women deal with charges of superficial materialism/over-focus on body image less often because one of the first steps of rejecting heteronormativity for women is rejecting mass culture's insistence on perfecting the female body. I'm hoping to see more young gay men rejecting the insane demands being made of their bodies, too. My best childhood friend was so much happier when he found his local bear community.

  • Awwh so true ;) Wise words of wisdom!

  • lol this video is 420....

any way i bin meaning to ask.

what make up do u use?

  • make up? what make up?

  • ah.....indeed what makeup....indeed
