Thank you Lord God for being the kind, loving, understanding God you are. I don't deserve your grace, but you still give it. I LOVE YOU

  • @Sunnihunnibunni.....

I feel sad you dont beleive in GOD. Because of GOD, You and I are still alive today. Terrible things have happened to people in this life, but you still have life. some dont anymore. if not for anything, serve GOD for your lfe which he has freely given to you. There is still time dear, for you to turn to GOD, it is not too late. I am not here to condemn you but to introduce you to GOD because he makes life a whole lot better. you would have inner peace, happiness and joy.

  • @MyVera1986 You can be sad some people don't believe in god, but on the other hand: i'm sad that you need a god to be happy.

I have inner peace and I'm more than happy with my life, simply without god.

I'm not telling you what to believe, believe whatever you want - but don't bring your superstitious suggestions to people who have actually thought about the topic.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd Not to start anything, but if you don't believe in God, what are you doing watching a video called "Jesus Take The Wheel"? It looks to me like you're just looking to turn Christians away from their faith, which is sad :/ I'm sorry that you don't believe in God, and I'm praying for you, because you're really making the worst mistake you could make....

  • @YouLoveAly I can like a song whether I agree with the text or not. I just hate to see people telling others what to believe as the poster above did.

To you: I don't feel like anything that comes with religion (including praying) will make me a better person. If I feel compassionate or think that someone needs help, I DO something for them instead of praying. Doing something useful for another person will help them alot more than simply praying, which is why I don't see the point.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd There's nothing wrong with taking action, but sometimes prayer is the only thing you have left. I think that if you ever enter that situation, you'll realize that prayer has a very big point. The only unfortunate part is that sometimes it takes calamity to open your eyes.

  • @LuxrayShinx Prayer is just something you have to soothe your own psychological needs. For some people it works - for themselves, but you're not helping anyone else by praying for them.

When i was young ( I was raised catholic) I was often told I had to pray etc. When i prayed, i'd pray that my next basketball game / karate match would go well or something alike. This made me feel less nervous when going towards the match, but in the end I won or lost because of the game, not because of god.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd If you were raised Catholic, then you ought to know that prayer must be aligned with God to be effective. As I said, it's not a blank check or a genie in the bottle.

  • @LuxrayShinx I was raised catholic but never believed in a god, it's just way too illogical. I'm glad my parents followed the same road as I did.

  • Respond to this video... Big Bang, huh? Yeah, I've heard of that, some explosion of matter that produced the universe... one question: What produced the matter in the first place? Something cannot come from nothing.

  • @LuxrayShinx Now you are talking about the origin of the universe, not the earth but w/e.

I can answer your question in 2 ways.

    1. We don't say "it all came from nothing" we say we simply don't know. Humans are boundedly rational and we simply cannot know EVERYTHING, perhaps some day we'll know but as of now - we don't. Our lack of knowledge does in no way prove god.

    2. If something cannot come from nothing, where did god come from? Excluding god from this circle means he is "nothing"

  • @joe80dmanizanerd God is not nothing, because I never said that God, as something, came from nothing. That's where the idea of eternity comes in, but we can talk about that later. Assume you are correct about the origin of the universe, how about the origin of humanity? Did we all just appear here, or what?

  • Respond to this video... If you're so sure, prove it to me. So far you're just reflecting my statements and making obscure and vague declarations. If we're going to talk science, let's talk science.

  • @LuxrayShinx Science isn't just studying things in a lab. Science is a philosophy, a way of thinking. It takes a while to explain what science is but there's plenty of books, or perhap swebsites who can explain to you what science is and what makes something "science".

Anyways, I can answer all your questions but first off I want to tell you the following.

No matter how much I explain to you, I cannot explain all your questions about why and how and where etc.

    ~continued

  • @joe80dmanizanerd ~our lack of knowledge however does in NO WAY make your case for the existence of a god any stronger. You forget that atheist do not claim "god does not exist". Scientifically, it's impossible to prove a metaphysical claim like that. This makes it unfalsifiable meaning that claiming god exists is unscientific.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd I'm quite aware of what science is, and you're not answering my question, in fact you're being a little evasive. I'm assuming that you believe in evolution. If you can "answer all my questions", I'd like to know what you would say about the Young Earth Theory: I find that quite intriguing.

  • @LuxrayShinx The young earth theory? That's one of the most ridiculous theories out there. Most creationists don't even believe it. There is tons and tons of evidence that the world is billions of years old. From the top of my head I can think of radiometric dating as the most accurate one. Hell, even the fact that we can witness the light of stars already disproves the young earth theory. Some stars are several millions of light years away, thus in order for us to see it they mustve been there.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd Then how do you explain how it is scientifically quantifiable that the oceans get marginally saltier every year? Were the Earth as old as you claim, would not the sea be unbearably salty? About stars, we don't see every single star. How do you know how far away each star is? Radiometric dating measures decay of matter, so how do you know if the matter had undergone natural decay or whether the decay was accelerated by some other force?

  • Respond to this video... The idea of geocentricity was not Catholic: It was conceived by Ptolomy, a Greek

  • @LuxrayShinx The catholic church believed the earth was the centre of the universe and the other planets including the sun revolve around it. This is because the bible says god placed the earth "immovable". Go look it up if you don't believe me. You're also wrong about religious influence in the 1500's, it was ALOT stronger than it is now. Furthermore we can measure the distance of stars with parallax and cepheid formulas, depending on the distance.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd One could just as easily say that that's what's happening with evolution and atheism.

  • @LuxrayShinx Not really, evolution and atheism are based on evidence whereas religion is based on culture, traditions and metaphysical beliefs. The evidence for evolution is overwhelming, and if you want me to explain it I just don't know where to begin.

Atheism is simply the lack of belief in a specific god, not the belief that no god exists. I happen to be an atheist, but this never influences my judgement in any way. continued

  • @joe80dmanizanerd Evolution and atheism are as much influenced by culture and tradition as is religion: The Greeks never set about proving that their gods existed because they assumed they were right. I'd like to know some of your evidence for evolution, and also to comment that you still haven't really refuted the Young Earth Theory.

  • @LuxrayShinx I can't even take Y.E.T serious, let alone bother refuting it. By googling "is the earth old?" you should be able to find enough for yourself I guess... or read any decent geology book.

I don't have the space or time to inform you about all the evidence for evolution. Simply go on wikipedia and look for "evidence of common descent". That should answer most of your questions. If you still doubt the evidence found there you can come back to me.

  • Respond to this video... The trouble is, I've already been to those places, and I still doubt it all very much. And not bothering to refute something simply because it SEEMS ludicrous, that doesn't sound like a good scientist? A scientists proves their claims beyond a shadow of a doubt. However, I think by this point it is obvious that you are not going to convince me and that I'm not going to convince you. We've been going in circles the whole time.

  • Respond to this video... I think we both ought to check into it from EVERY ANGLE, not just Wikipedia and the published sources but also sources that we wouldn't normally go to, and I think that we ought to choose then. After all, if you're so sure that you're right, then you have nothing to lose...unless you're wrong.

  • @LuxrayShinx I'm sure that this will only make me seem even more ignorant in your eyes and probably mean nothing to you whatsoever, but I'll say it anyway: I'll pray for you.

  • @LuxrayShinx however, if you've checked the sources I linked you before, I honestly doubt any evidence will convince you. Unless someone shows you that his fish evolved into a reptile overnight, you'll doubt evolution. Unless you see earth plates move meter by meter, youll doubt plate tectonics. Unless you have a cord long enough to measure the furthest star, you will doubt our methods to measure it. However, you will believe in god because it makes you feel good, without evidence. Goodbye.

  • @LuxrayShinx Y.E.T is false because:

    -light from stars (i've explained)

-Trees older than 6000 years have been found. (look up methusaleh)

-Ice samples in greenland have showed annual layers deposited for over 160.000 years

Measurements by sensors show that space dust accumulates on the moon at the rate of 2 nanograms per sq cm/year. This would require 4.5 billion years to reach a depth of 1.5 inches, which is experienced by astronauts. This agrees with radioactive dating of moon rocks.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd In order:

    - I'VE already explained as well

-No one said that the Earth was younger than 6000 years, I actually thought it was much older

    - Same as before

    - How do you know that a comet didn't come along and deposit all that space dust? You can't account for a steady accumulation of dust over 4.5 billion years

  • @LuxrayShinx Then you're not a young earth creationist, young earth creationists believe the world is 6000 to 10000 years old.

  • Respond to this video... I'd also like to know the source from which you gleaned that.

  • @LuxrayShinx Wikipedia, creationwiki, conservapedia and several other creationist websites I checked out.

  • @LuxrayShinx They seem very viable to me, though admittedly rather pompous in tone. What sites did you use to refute them?

  • @LuxrayShinx I mostly don't use sites to refute them, I have studied philosophy of science and the books and I usually reason through that philosophy. Also my other arguments are usually from geography or biology books, however wikipedia's information often mirrors my books pretty well, but in less detail.

  • Respond to this video... I'm truly sorry you feel that way, and, again, I know you probably don't care, but I'll pray for you. I am glad that we had this conversation, and I hope that we both learned something from it. Goodbye.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd I know this is not my fight to fight, but I thought it was very interesting when you said, "Atheism is simply the lack of belief in a specific god, not the belief that no god exists."

You claim to be very educated, but what you are talking about is being Agnostic. The definition for Agnostic is: "a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God", while Atheism is: "The theory or belief that God does not exist". Find out what you believe first before attacking others.

  • @optimismisbeautiful No, you're simply wrong there.

An atheist lacks the belief that a god exists and thus does not believe in one whereas an agnostic is indifferent to the question whether a god exists or not. To him both are equally true even though there is no evidence in favor of a god.

Atheists don't rule out the existence of a god 100% (that would be unscientific) but more like 99,999% or "very very very unlikely". Whereas anti theists would call it 100%.

  • @LuxrayShinx In fact I would be happy to accept the existence of god if there was proof for such a thing. Unfortunately there is no such evidence and maintaining the belief in a god would be no better than wishful thinking. Due to the way I was raised, i've tried to look for personal proof to confirm or disconfirm my beliefs. I had times when I asked god that if he existed to give me a sign. I never got anything, and even if I did it would have been luck or simply wishful thinking.

  • Respond to this video... Oh, and Copernicus was an astronomer of the Age of Reason, a time when no one credited religion very much. The Catholic Church's influence had long since nigh totally evaporated.

  • @LuxrayShinx Look, in order for you to keep your beliefs you crawl into all little spaces trying to deny scientific proven scientific methods and facts. I've spoken to creationists before and I simply can't comprehend how you can be so focused on your own beliefs that you simply regard any fact thats thrown at you as insufficient or inaccurate.

Scientists don't have some secret agenda to disprove god, they simply look at the given evidence and reason based on that.

  • Respond to this video... That may be, but what does that even prove in the first place? That people can be so absorbed in tradition and what they think is right, that they ignore the truth that's right in their face.

  • @LuxrayShinx indeed, and that's exactly what's happening with creationism. Especially young earth Creationism.

  • Respond to this video... I would think, actually, that as we learn more and more and discover more and more complexity in the world, the idea of it all occurring randomly would become more and more farfetched and that God would actually become more and more plausible. If we're going to quote history, everyone thought Copernicus was a nut job at the time that he first proposed heliocentric theory, but it turns out he was right.

  • @LuxrayShinx It's funny you mention that. Indeed, Copernicus was thought to be crazy because the religious (catholic) view that the earth was the centre of the universe. If it wasn't for the total domination of catholicism in the day, copernicus' theory would've been alot easier to accept.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd The Catholic Church was and is wrong about a lot of things. Why do you think there was a Reformation? I'd like to know what verse you're looking out so I can show how you're taking it out of context. You can't quote a single word from the Bible and twist it like that. Secondly, Copernicus lived the same time as the Reformation, it was in full swing, so Catholicism was rapidly deteriorating.

  • @LuxrayShinx Copernicus lived in the early time of the renaissance, religion was still a very big influence but indeed lutherism etc gained popularity while catholic views changed. However, catholicism did remain by far the biggest and most influential religion at the time.

I'm not saying the catholics were right about anything, obviously they were wrong. But they did believe it and they did make it harder for copernicus to "come out of the closet".

  • Respond to this video... Also, if you don't know "yet", then why is your argument any more plausible than mine?

  • @LuxrayShinx The Greek 500 B.C. didn't know where lightning or tides came from, noone was able to prove (YET) where rain came from. Does that make the existence of zeus and poseidon plausible? No it doesn't. In order for a claim to be plausible you must have some sort of background to work from that is not simply your personal imagination. We are discovering more and more, and gods keep moving to the last gaps in our knowledge to maintain its credibility to some.

  • Respond to this video... You still haven't answered how something can come from nothing. If the Big Bang is the origin of everything, then what caused the Big Bang?

  • @LuxrayShinx the term "atheist say everything came from nothing!" is a totally made up claim by fundamental creationists. You will never ever find a scientist make this claim, there's simply so much wrong with it philosophically and logically.

  • Respond to this video... Prayer's not an accessory to "religion", but rather a means of communication, just like speaking. Christianity is not "religion" in the modern sense of the word: It is a way of life; in fact, Christianity defines religion as giving to all who have need (the exact merism is "taking care of widows and orphans"), which includes but is not limited to prayer.

  • Respond to this video... Prayer is connecting to and aligning with God. And it has more power than you think. But prayer won't work unless you're serious and in line with God's will. It's not a blank check or a genie in a bottle.

  • Respond to this video... If you don't mind my saying, it doesn't make sense to like a song and not its text: Songs' lyrics are part of the song, just as an arm is part of the body; if you don't agree with the words, but you like the song anyway, no offense, but it seems as though you're being superficial. Maybe you should focus more on the words than the music. It's the words that make it a song.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd There's nothing superstitious about God. Actually, it's a very plausible idea. Since you've "thought about the topic", let's hear your reasoning.

  • @LuxrayShinx Oh I didnt see your first post. If you want to claim something is real, you need positive evidence for your claim. God has no evidence for existing at all, none. I know some creationists suggest there is, and even though I find it annoying - I will tell you why its not evidence at all.

Claiming that god exists is just like saying that unicorns exist in space. I can't prove that unicorns don't exist but does that make them real? not really.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd The difference is that I can prove God exists, in the same way that you can get a test answer correct: Process of elimination. Since you mentioned Creationism, let's talk about it. If you don't believe the world was created, what do you believe?

  • @LuxrayShinx The earth was created by the aftermath of the big bang (origin of the universe) there's plenty on wikipedia or whichever site or science book as to how the earth was formed. We can see how planets form by studying star formations and other galaxy's. If you wonder how the universe came to be, you might get some different answers as we dont have the technology (yet) to prove this. The earth itself however, is no mistery at all.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd It's also rather rude to suggest as you did that Christians - just because they often express their feelings about God - are idiots who believe whatever is shoved in their faces. Perhaps they've "thought about the topic" more than you have.

  • @LuxrayShinx I didnt say you were a bunch of idiots. There are plenty of intelligent christians out there, fact remains that the belief in a god is totally irrational.

God exists for some people because they want him to exist (in the way they interpret what a god is and should be). They need a reason for personal motivation etc etc.

Though, believing in god as a higher being is plain irrational. The only reason why people would not find it irrational is because they lack education in science.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd God cannot exist for "some people": Existence is not relative, and I agree that nothing exists because one wishes it too, I never said that it did.

  • Sunnihunnibunni trust me believe in god and he will make your life so much easier I believe in him and I got saved from breaking my neck and my dad got saved from dieing of malaria

  • @Journey378 nah, they got cured by doctors. If you'd break your neck and wouldnt go to the hospital - and still get healed; that's when god healed you.

  • @joe80dmanizanerd You know, if you're so intent on shooting down what others believe, then why do you appear to so detest it yourself? Don't tell others to express their beliefs if you intend to do so yourself, that's rather hypocritical.

  • I don't believe in God and never will, but this is a beautiful song.

  • @Sunnihunnibunni Honey never say never =)

  • TONY ROMO...YOU REALY BLEW IT....YOU LEFT CARRY UNDERWOOD FOR JESSICA SIMPSON?????????????? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING.......GOD ONLY GIVE WHAT HE SEE AS WORTHY..YOU MUST HAVE FAILED THAT TEST...GOD HAS CARRY RAPED UP TIGHT IN HIS HEDGE OF PROTECTION....LET THIS BE A LESSON TO ALL MEN....LOOK ON WHAT IS IN THE INSIDE OF A WOMAN,,,,NOT THE OUTSIDE....YOU KEEP PROCLAIMING THE WORD OF GOD CARRY....AND YOU WILL BE BLESSES FOREVER MORE...WITH LOVE ...STEVE.G

  • I like this one because it's a more direct message than some people feel comfortable with. It's like how people love those movies with that subtlety of spreading Christ's word ('Narnia') but can't stand movies that cut to the chase ('The Passion of the Christ'). I love how she feels free to do so. I'm pretty sure, judging by the direction we're moving, soon Lady Gaga, Beyonce and all those people won't hesitate to do the same with the Devil.

    Jesus reigns!

  • Finally, a good female example for all of the other female singers who are spiraling down hill..

  • @DeeDee26847 So true!!

  • This song really makes you think. Life is normal and all of a sudden you're going the wrong way. Then you call on Jesus and He saves you. It's my theme song right now!

  • even if your not religious, im an atheist , this song still touches you. it has a realism to it that everyone can be affected by. its beautiful.

  • i reeeeaaalllyyyy wish i could believe in god but it seems soooo fake and i just cant

  • @Ra1n0nY0u God isn't fake...if He was fake, you wouldn't exist. If you ask HIm to help you believe, He'll help you. I know if you're having trouble, it sounds crazy, but it works. It really does. Trust me, I know. I've done it. Today even. Long story. But good luck and i'm praying for you!! :)

  • @SaltwaterAir1 idk i kinda believe in a greater being but the bible seems like a little kid story and super fake

  • @Ra1n0nY0u Sorta I guess, but it isn't. Have u ever read it? The more you read it, the more sense it makes. The further you get, the less fake it is to you.

  • @SaltwaterAir1 yes ive read it.. i was raised christian and went to a christian school for more then half my life

  • @Ra1n0nY0u So what exactly made it seem fake? Did something happen? I mean, just cuz something bad happened doesn't mean God isn't real anymore. He doesn't come and go. He's there, and He loves you.

  • @Ra1n0nY0u Believing in God is a decision. He won't make you because He made you with a free will. You choose!!

  • @Bedeborah why the hell wouldnt he prove hes real to make more people believe..and those who still dont are the dumb ones who chose no too..

  • @Ra1n0nY0u Why when you told a lie, you didn't tell the truth? Because thats your perrogative! God is God. I thnk that makes Him a little greater than you!!!!

  • this is one of my favourite songs of all time :)

  • he took the wheel and drove me right into the wall

  • @OnigiriTan 'No you drove yourself into the wall. Looks like He saved you after all. You'r still here!

  • @Bedeborah ...praising god for saving you when he is in control of everything, including what he's saving you from, is like giving medal to someone who saved you from a burning building they themselves set on fire

  • @OnigiriTan I don't mean any harm but you really need some Understanding! You missed the understanding of 'Hes in control' I would love to commune with you if you're willing to listen.

  • This is so beautiful. Makes me cry everytime. I love you Jesus.. and Jesus loves me too.

    Stay strong believers.

    XXXX

  • um the baby was sleepin like a rock means wat does that mean

  • um the baby was sleepin like a rock means

  • ......please think before you comment.

  • Love this song! Although.... I think it's cute how people want people want contemporary artist's to "take the wheel" (so-to-speak)when they won't do it themselves and give thanks and love to their own brother's from other walks of life that need it as much as the the person that their talking about....which is themselves
