Hey jusuchin85, I'm not sure if you know much about the anta, but have you also notice that Sunohara Youhei refer Kyou as anta in the episode?

Youhei: Arn't you(anta) being harsh?

I find it stange she says anata baka towards Youhei. Because in Japan they hardly use the words you, me and I.

If they do use anata(in which many japanese say its the formal way) its always between lovers.

So if Kyou does call Sunohara anata baka, she bascily calling him his lover who is an idoit.... 0_0

Well...

First Kyou says "Anta", which is a more casual and colloquial way of saying "anata". It's very much used among peers, it's what I used the most while I was staying in Japan, except for the occasional "Omae" when I wanted to tease/mock friends.

Anata is used among lovers, and is only used by the wife. However, it only has the connotation of "Dear" depending on the context as well. Remember, Japanese is a very high-context language.

Tsundere is a term in jap to describe characters like kyou...

Dunno how to explain but it's mostly those female characters that always shout and calls people stupid...but then they also have a weak side...or even in love with the protagonist...

E.g. Taiga (Toradora), Asuka (Eva)
