Actually... The lookalike's name is Shuyin. He is Lenne's lover from 1000 years before Yuna's time. You will have to play X-2 to learn more. Also are you sure he comes back? I've played the game and beat it several times and the only time I've seen him is in the happy ending.

he comes back in both endings the perfect ending and the happy ending... to get the perfect ending and a new video sequence u need to get 100% throughout the game

@ForsakenSk8er The Perfect Ending is where Yuna pushes him off the hill and he falls into the water, but doesnt disappear. Im guessing they go there cause Tidus still thinks he might disappear. Woulda been funny if she had killed him by accident, LOL.

He became real at the end of FFX, by accomplishing so much in the real world... hence at the end of the credits, he was at the bottom of the water, smiled, and swam up. =) Though you are right, the only time he pops u is at the end =(.... (though it's been a year since you asked this...=) lol)
