Rusty used to fly my mom & dad all over the place in about 1970 - I am a pilot now due, in large part, to hearing about Rusty and his adventures! I understand he wasn't one for working instruments - didn't need them ;-)
I grew up in the front seat of that Beaver (CF-JKT) flying all over northern Ontario with Rusty. He was one the kindest,most humble people I have ever known and I miss him every day.
Rusty was my great uncle. Though I only met him a few times as a young child before he died, he was a very kind man.

As a youngster. I was a dock rat at the Austin's YSB base. Rusty gave me my first ride in a float plane (JKT).
