Лондонский королевский балет снова порадовал. Новая постановка Алисы в стране чудес. С хорошим юмором. Здорово придумали пародию Червонной королевы на розовое адажио принцессы Авроры из Спящей красавицы. Действительно очень комично получилось. Только вместо роз пирожные:)

I would actually prefer this to any of the movies they did of Alice in wonderland cos before I wasn't to keen on ballet but I happened to watch on BBC two on christmas day and cos there is no speech in it, the music tells the story for you and the dancers are fantastic. The queen of hearts is played so well cos she wants to appear all elegant but her servants are useless so it's really comical. I found the DVD on amazon and I am so buying it.

@aloprest I know, I told my dad that. I think it was just her in particular, but it was mainly her forehead that he kept saying was masculine (aswell as her body though). It's probably a combination of her height, her makeup, and her lower body fat compared to say Lauren Cuthbertson who is Alice.

I love the maniacal grins - the choreographer obviously had a lot of fun with this. Great to see a talented ballerina with some personality. Love the Queen's attempts at elegance which always end in crass vulgarity - the clever choreography really captures her despotic, whimsical nature - a joy to watch from start to finish : )

I saw it in London and was not sure about this spoof rose adagio, I hope it will stand the test of time as the rest of the ballet and score was amazing. The friends I took asked me at the end if Zenaida was a man or a woman ad she certainly has a Troc quality in this performance...could anyone else dance it as well?
