  • very nice! what exactly is the rock formation in the tower compositions?

  • @TheGuyWhoJustShotYou Hi Daniel! It is a Volcanic Neck in Black Hills in USA witch is called 'Devils Tower'. It was supposedly called so because of an misinterpretation between settlers and Indians.

  • i can hear the influence of bach in this piece, but of course you compose in your own style

    it's great!!!

  • @piano8091 Many thanks Lukas. Yes I must be influenced by Bach as he is one of my favourite composers. And it mostly Bach I have played on the piano followed by Chopin as my piano teacher so it as fit.

    Best Regards

    Roland

  • Wow, this is very good! I really like the approach you took to give this composition the almost "evil" sound that it does. Excellent work!

  • @BGood156 Many thanks. It is true that there it is in some way evil sound to it, although blended with lighter parts.

  • @gonrolgonrol I agree. It is a very good mix of sounds.

  • @gonrolgonrol I agree. It is a very good mix of sounds.

  • I really need to think of the song "canon in D" P only in a diffrent scale :P

    Great song!

  • @YOUReyanto Thanks. Could you please explain regarding your comment on Canon in D (Pachelbel)?

  • I find myself coming back to this song, and it seems to grow everytime I hear it.

This is a work of true inspiration, an expression of an aching soul. Amazing!

I uploaded a new piece myself, its more of the baroque style than my other ones. Check it out when you have time, friend.

    See you!

  • @KarlNerman Thanks Karl. I very much appreciate your comments. I have listened to your new composition a couple of times. I just like to listen to some compositions a certain amount of times before I give comments. But will surely do it soon.

  • Very unique and very cool!

  • @bubblabu Thanks :) Are you composing now?- I see you have some videos that you mention were made 20 years ago.

  • @gonrolgonrol yes I have some new original stuff I'm working on. I've been more focused on some older stuff that I don't have any recordings of anymore and that's been helping me learn Sonar so I can get a little more proficient and not be slowed down if I have a sudden burst of creativity :-).

  • @bubblabu I gather Sonar is some kind of music software?

  • @gonrolgonrol Yes - it's a tool that can record MIDI and audio data, apply effects and mix down tools. Kind of like a small studio.

  • I was initially drawn to this composition due to the name. The winding (almost "logically-meandering") quality of the melody gives the piece a haunting and surreal charm, that I find intriguing. Really good work, here.

  • @liamdb2003 Thanks for interesting comments and perspective. It is exactly haunting and surreal I feel my music is, and want it to be.

  • You have a constant flow in your music, which many people will not understand, but it is original and complex. You dance around the obvious melodies and replace them with meaning, in a great way!

    Awesome composition!

  • @KarlNerman Thank you for your motivating and insightful commentaries Karl. I appreciate both negative and positive critics. Will look at your compositions which are great.
