Certainly looks like a classical guitar to me...also I think you'll find very good classical guitar players performing material that is not the traditional Western European type so often associated with the instrument, e.g. Bellinati playing music by the Brazilian A. C. Jobim; John Williams, Antigoni Goni and a host of other notable players including music by Barrios (Paraguayan)... However, Obsuramusic's technique does indeed transgress the golden 'thumb behind the neck' rule.
