Scottie pippen was a lock down defender hands down, there were years that jordan would get the defensive player of the year award but pip would lead the bulls in steals rebounds and blocks. I believe that jordan couldnt win withoout pipen , if yaw noticed he didnt start winning until pips game developed

Here's the real question... Pippen was drafted by Seattle in 87 who didn't think much of him and agreed to trade him on draft day to Chicago. What if? Could Jordan have molded together another dynasty team? I actually think he could've and still won 6 maybe 8!

On the 1984 Gold Medal team, he played alongside Chris Mullin, Steve Alford, Sam Perkins and Patrick Ewing. He may have won without Pippen, but look at the talent on both teams.

Heres a fact that is rarely mentioned. Jordan led Bulls teams in playoff games are 1-11 in games that Scottie didn't play. I won't say that Jordan was nothing without Pippen but that stat speaks for itself how important Pippen was to the Bulls.

Pippen set records himself only 3 other players in the history of the nba could match & them as a pair did things just as few nba pairs in all of its history ever did. Pippen has ore steals & assist than any forward in nba history. ranks 3rd in all of nba history for highest fg percentage in a game(94%), steals in a single game. 1 of only 3 guys to get 200 steals & 100 rebounds in a season. to name a few. he's irreplaceable

Pippen was a great player one of the best small forwards ever, BUT he was replaceable on that team with a number of players that were even playing in the league at that time- Drexler, Nique, Miller to name a few. MJ WOULD have definately won multiple championships without Pippen 6 maybe not but also maybe more!!!! Who Knows but one thing for sure Pippen was an all time great but MJ is the Greatest!!! NUMBERS and everyone that played + coached with/against him including Pippen himself dont lie

Wthout pippen theres no jordan and vise vursor, dont get me wrong mike would have won but nothing compared to the impact that pippen had on the court and on mike. All Mike needed was a descent team and he got more, and thats not to take any sort of credit away cause Mike is the goat hands down, but pippen as far as impact has to be a top10 no question. Hes what pat riley is dreaming of with lebron and wade which can very much be accomplished, but never duplicated. mike nd pipp set the bar.

Pip is top 10 2nd player in team, but not top 10 player in history. MJ can't win 6 rings without Pip, yes, but we can also say if MJ has someone like Ewing or Olajuwon, he can win more rings. It's just meaningless.
MJ still MJ without Pip, he could have better stat and less wins without Pip.

Again, I think in the timing Scottie just happen to come along. Then they both made history together. Best duo in game...in that era. Their really shouldn't be any argument after that. Everybody needs to remind themselves that in the 1998 final wasn't it Jordan that carried the Bulls in that 4th quarter to seal the chip for them when Scottie's back went out on him. But yes, one will never know how many championship Jordan would have won without Pippen. In Jordan's HOF speech Jordan made it known that , "in all clips you just seen...you didn't just see me...you saw Scottie Pippen".

Heres a fact that is rarely mentioned. Jordan led Bulls teams in playoff games are 1-11 in games that Scottie didn't play. I won't say that Jordan was nothing without Pippen but that stat speaks for itself how important Pippen was to the Bulls.

It wasn't right place at the right time. He got draft by the super sonics and the Gm (Jerry Krause) saw the Potential in him and traded for him (for Olden Polynice). Jordan pushed pippen to be great. He would of been on the bench on the sonic's because they had Xavier McDaniel and Tom Chambers
