  • Every now and then this show would cover a topic that was actually historic. This is one of them

  • nazi =`s socialism !

  • did they find dracula's gold mine?

  • @HaulinHearse It was under Al Capone's vault.

  • What I find interesting about this show is the way Nimoy goes out of his way to mention the holocaust because he's Jewish himself. Yes, Leonard, we know that it happened, but it's completely irrelevant to the argument. If you're talking about the nazi plunder that you're "in search of", then stick to the issue. I gather that you aren't trying to argue about nazis escaping with jewish gold teeth and the like.

    Thank you.

  • @ScarlemD The Nazis looted art works from murdered Jews. The Holocaust is relevant to this episode of In Search Of!

  • @ScarlemD Nazi plunder was melted gold teeth and eyeglasses you Jackwagon. Wake up and read a book.

  • Martin Bormann's skeleton was found in Berlin in 1972. Why does Nimoy keep talking about him as though he's still alive?

  • @JimmySmers In 1972, it was still uncertain it was Martin Bormann's skeleton.

  • I wish I could find some Nazi plunder! I would buy a bitch to spank with all that there dough!

  • This was a great series.intelligent.creative,and highly polished in the production end,the stuff on TV today is crappy fluff.glad this was uploaded and thanx

  • They never found the amber room.

  • Thank you for posting this. I've been wanting to see this episode again for years.

    Wolfe

  • Unsolved mysteries came close. Interesting, but not as in depth as in search of.

  • BRAVO! I really do hope that ALL artwork lost in WWII is recovered once again!

  • it has een but, one found , stayed on the black market no never declare out loud... ( thats what i think. )

  • If I remember correctly, there was a find of stolen Nazi art recovered as recently as 10 years ago. I think it was quite significant too, in the sheer amount that was located.

  • That what I was going to say, good thing too that they found them...

  • yes, If I even remember further, it was a teenage child that actually found the treasures about 200 million dollars worth.

  • They found the spear that pierced Christ's sides recently- that was one of them.. But the others? What are some of them?

  • Sorry for the lateness of my reply, but I believe they were greek treasures, including statues. The boy that located the find actually saw the head of a staute that was exposed from the elements at the base of a retaining wall. It was a huge story at the time and I am sorry to be so vague, perhaps someone else knows more about it than me.

  • The art is beautiful. Thanks for tapes.

  • The "In Search of" series was a good mix of topics. I don't think there is anything like this being made today even though the use of archive footage must have been quite cheap. Thanks for this. I actually remember this one!
