@LeeGee1983 The 16MP camera output just needs to be "de-interpolated" by the smallest limiting factor (CFA-sensor capture ratio: 50% green, 25% blue, 25% red light), which is 25%, which then brings the over all REAL image data down to 4MP; a very usable image size for most common purposes. One should however use an appropriate downscaling method. I don't know whether any app for Windows Phone actually allows for Photoshop-niveau downscaling of images. Should be quite possible though.
