dude...this is gorgeous....when he really belts out "i need a way back home"...that might be the most passionate, heart-breaking vocal moment I've heard in my whole life...
That is so well done. This is a fantastic example of Kevin's dynamics and ability to create a mood. Great arpegiated bass line in the background, stellar performance by the Pianist. This is one of performances that makes time stand still and move at a million miles a second simultaneously, it is so just right. Most excellent and brilliant...the uptempo requiem on the SOTT's lyrics have become a reality these days. Timeless
Beautiful job. I didn't see anywhere the performers name. At first I thought maybe it was Mike Keneally, but I don't think that was his face blowing the candle out there.
and i'll build me a robot.. and we'll look just the same .. and i'll teach him the handshake.. and i'll teach him the game.. and he won't feel lonely.. and i won't feel ashamed.. and he'll find the way back home..
i love that song so much, and thats the best cover ive heard!
very very nice, i think kevin is in heaven smiling at you. i wish everyday kevin had more time on earth to do what he loved, but at least he left a great legacy in his music. God Bless You Kevin Gilbert where ever you are.
Nice. I knew Kevin in high school and performed in a number of plays and musicals with him. His sensitivity, creativity and musical genius was very evident then. He is definitely missed.
love kevin gilbert... and it seems you wrote the whole Bio in the comments of the video .hehehe I like a lot shadow self and Certifiable number one smash =).
hey terry--beautiful piece. i saw toy matinee perform at the strand about a zillion years ago. amazing show. i'm so out of the loop i didn't know kevin gilbert had died although i had wondered what happened to him. thanks for the tribute--you were amazing way back when (i mean elementary school!) and you still are. btw i hope all is well with your family--
Uau! Thank you for the interpretation. Keep up*

i really believe wherever kevin is now, any bit of music of his that is put into the air is a little more immortality for him.
