Henry Fonda in the late '60s or '70s had a show with this as its theme. Family sit-non-com. He donned a navy blue patrolman's uniform, kissed the misses, and was as one-expression-dry as always. I almost fall asleep thinking about it. It's funny no one pulls it out of the film can....
