  • Dirt Diver! Is the movie out already?

  • i' know how it feels been there before... this will be inspirational..hope to watch it soon on the big screen more power to all of you

  • Thanks for your interest. We are currently seeking distribution. Please spread the word.

Our marketing campaign has been a grass-roots effort. It is our hope that the film will

get to the right people so it can be released. We have screened for the Military Writer's Society,

the 101st Aireborne Snowbird Reunion, the Gulf War Veteran's Reunion (Ross Perot

in attendance), NYU and John Veterans groups, the Actors Studio in NYC.

    Please tell all!

  • Sorry for the typo - we have screened for the Veterans at John Jay College.

  • So much of this video/ movie relates so closely to my life, that it's actually scary...

  • It's scarry when you watch a movie trailer and it is like looking back on your own life. i think one of the worst things is when the VA tells you it all in your head. You think the military trains you to defeat any enemy and then you face the unbeatable The VA.

  • It is obvious the Martini family is loaded with talent. Have long admired Max and now see that Chris is gifted, too. Best of luck to this enterprise. I hope Trooper finds a good distributor.

  • Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat Job Chris.......

  • True Story about "DU" I am one of the "sick" that can't be explained or admitted. DU is very real and very deadly in the long run. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS AND THIER FAMILIES !!!

  • Can't wait to see the entire piece...I love it...Bravo!!!

  • WORD

Sometimes the emperor doesn't have cloths

  • Why does our media not cover topics like this instead of saturating us with all the hyperbole of our useless congressional representatives?

  • Wow. Powerful. I can't wait to see it, though I will likely breakdown when I do. The story relates SO MUCH with my experiences and those of my Father a WWII vet.

  • This film tears open the souls of the characters, allowing the viewer to LIVE the story. It isnt a multi-million dollar special effects bonanza. Instead it provides the audience with a brutally honest yet highly emotional experience that helps us better understand the costs of freedom. Every day in America is a day lived in the blessings of peace and prosperity. These blessings are far too often denied to those most deserving. Captain Dave Winnett, Jr., USMC (Ret.), Persian Gulf War Veteran.

  • When does this film come out?

  • Very well produced trailer. 5 stars all the way!!!!

  • looks like a powerful movie. great actor like max m. gotta be good

  • Wow I am a 70% disabled 100% unemployable ser conn PG Vet (4 tours 90 to 93. My disabled Viet father in law lives with me, my wife and son, on and off.. My own family turned on me (gov says its in ur head), to the point that I still do not talk to my father much.. I lost everything, including credit rating, was homeless etc.. This trailer made me cry like a little girl. It so relates with my life.. I live in FL now and hope I can see the movie some how.. To all vets I send my love

  • Looks good as far as the trailer goes. Just hope it's not another one of those anti-military political toilet bowls like Stop-Loss and Redacted, though...

  • Looking forward to seeing the full Movie....thankful it's not JarHead II ! Hopefully a testiment to the unresolved issues with Veterans of Gulf War I...so we can support and protect this current wave of Veterans from Gulf War II. Thanks for the accuracy!

  • I'd like to see this movie. I know my husband was exposed to DU...after all, he worked in the ammo field. Hell...being in Iraq is enough.

No effects yet...but we are waiting.

As if the PTSD isn't enough for our guys to deal with..lets ignore it when they get sick, right?

I'll do my part to spread the word...for the sake of my Marine, and all the others out there.

  • My husband is a GW veteran and has brain cancer which may be linked to the oil well fire smoke according to new research.... Until his diagnosis and our battle with the VA began I really had no clue... I was one of the disillusioned. I hope this movie will open the eyes of the general public to demand action and fair treatment for all veterans.

  • Hope to see it soon near my Theater!

  • Trooper is an incredible film filled w/ wonderful, heart-warming & brilliant performances! It is an eye-opening & authentic account of serious, heart-wrenching circumstances that are masterfully woven into a beautiful & touching story that is thought-provoking, humorous, hopeful, gripping & inspiring all-in-one.

Lets help make Trooper real so that Martinis clever script & artful direction, can exponentially take many for a ride through the mind of Iraq-veteran Murphy, his family & friends!!!

  • Chris and Max, I stand with you and will pass the word on this movie to all I know and then some. Max I hope the dopes bring back the 33 1/3 Logistics. One of the Greatest shows on TV

  • If you're reading this comment, and if you've viewed the movie trailer, please take a few minutes, set up a YouTube account (very simple and quick), then rate the movie trailer above with 1-5 Stars (5 being best). Then, if you feel compelled, leave a few words here about the film. This is how we can assist the film's producer in getting this movie into mainstream distribution. America needs to see this film. Please help. Thanks, Dave Winnett, Captain, USMC (Ret.)

  • btw thanks 4 the comment and i belive u hav been hepling us my mom hoas been exchanging emails with you to get some benifits from stuff idrk whut though but thank you

  • OOPPPS ( Clothes) Never could spell

  • I am another one that has been sick for years and to tell the truth I am just waiting for my time. We will never be believed. For the very fact the illness is on the inside. Except for those very nasty rashes that I get. Of course we have on cloths so the only ones who see them are the VA And our family. When 75% of us are dead by sixty if your are lucky enough to make it to that age. The truth might come out.

  • Having seen the movie at an early screening, it has a powerful message that resonates, not only to veterans but to all Americans. No need to use ill vets for actors...this is not a documentary nor is it political; Martini has captured reality, a far cry from Vietnam 'Rambo' movies. I can't recommend it enough..our vets deserve a battle cry for action and this is it! This is one you'll want to see and share with others.

  • @ Huey & Winnett - I'm just seeing things from both sides - and I wish there was less Hollywood in the trailer. Last movie they did about GWS had spouses getting together drinking beer in the beginning - I never got together with other spouses drinking beer, while mine was there. Starting the trailer with comments about masturbation was offensive to me as well. It will not deter me from seeing the film - I do believe it will deter many.

  • Chris Martini,

You wanted us to think seriously about war's serious consequences.

No movie has any life value unless it is "contemporary", which means the artist must portray the world as it is experienced today, i.e., teach us about life by making us share the experience of those who suffer the loss of their dear ones and that count their last life moments in the line of fire.

Thank you for taking on the responsibility to do your part to build a better world.

I can't wait to see more....

  • I'm a sick GWV/20 yr Marine. I look good for someone with fibromyalgia, connective tissue disorder, etc. People with these illnesses often look OK. A year ago I was still running 3 miles despite intense pain. Muscle memory also helps people continue to maintain good body mass for years after they stop exercising. The characters in this film are as believable as the image I see in the mirror each morning. Semper Fi, Dave Winnett, Captain, USMC (Ret.)

  • I screened this entire movie in Florida at "The Military Writer's Society of America's" conference - it was seen by a room full of real veterans and war heroes - trust me - this film will not offend today's warriors. It does present a fairly realistic picture of what is happening now. There is very little that would offend movie goers.

Having real veterans to play the roles does not make for a better movie. You need and want professional actors.

  • I hope this makes it to the big screen~America needs to see this and understand our challenges.

Wake up America, stop bailing out banks and auto makers, start bailing out our military and veterans. Give them healthcare, give them a living, give them their lives back~

They wrote a blank check for your freedom America, take care of them!

  • Outstanding depiction of what we all endure. My heart bleeds continuously for what my husband and friends have endured and what my son's and daughter will have to endure in the future. I just can not imagine how many more will go ignored and uncared for. How many more will be sick and transmit that to their children? how many of us will be denied benefits that we are entitled to? Makes me so sick to think of bailing out banks and not tending to our miltary and veteran population. They need us!

  • Trooper - Official Trailer is an outstanding display of the trials and tribulations facing too many human beings today. I see by all the other comments here that this film has touched many to the core of their hearts and experiences. I have watched this short trailer many times. I am captivated by this excellent independent production. I have shed tears for the souls that have and are going through this tragic experience. The song at the end by Jessi Robertson really drives the message home too.

  • As a Marine Veteran of the Iraq war, just from what i've seen in the trailer, this movie looks to be the definative narrative of this conflict.

It seems to have it all. The Danger, The Pride, People not understanding, and the mental and physical recovery.

I truely hope this see's wide release and am recommending it to all my friends, military or not.

  • This movie just looks outstanding!! to write, produce, direct, edit and play the lead role is incredible, (what are you a control freak? lol) moviemaking is about having a voice, and to create an indi movie on a tiny budget with such a strong message is commendable.. congrats all involved, can't wait to see it..

  • Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!

  • Excellent movie -- recommended to all those have fought on the battlefield, coming home to fight the VA system of denials that anything bad happened to us. Between the sarin gas, pesticides, oil well fires, and questionable injections -- is it any wonder that some of us are still live.

Great MOVIE to open the eyes of the nation.

  • Trooper will hit the hearts and souls of all veterans who have come back home with illnesses caused by modern warfare. From Agent Orange to DU, it's NOT about the soldiers health, it's about the financial liability the government incurs if a soldier's war-related illnesses become service-connected. The battle with the VA bureaucracy will last longer than any soldiers war time service. Here's hoping the rest of this movie is as good as the trailer. Chris, thank you for telling the story!

  • My name is Samuel Hargrove, a retired Army veteran, served in the 1991 Persian Gulf War and have associated illnesses from that theater of operations.

I am proud to comment on the trailer of "Trooper", I believe in my heart more movies of this nature need to be developed and shown to the American audience.

I cannot wait to see the full movie!

Great work and keep them coming!

    Signed,

    "Proud American Military Retiree"

  • My dad, a Marine, is a Gulf War veteran, he has brain cancer. Maybe this film will help people see how hard it is for veterans to get help.

  • What a great film that show's the shortcomings of our country toward it's veterans !!!!!! Keep up the goot work!!!! I hope to see more great work from the Martini brothers !!!! Also you're both extremely hot !!! LOL!!!

  • This is an excellent movie. The story line is absolutely brilliant; a compelling and very emotional drama with a message. The battles that our troops fight don't always end when they leave the battlefield. I hope that this movie makes it to the big screen. It's an American story that America needs to see. A thousand thumbs up. A must-see for all Veterans and their families.

  • This looks really, really good. Just tell me WHEN it's going to be released!!!

  • The topic of our brothers and sisters and what they endure, as well as what they are willing to risk; then the unlikelihood of an equivalent 'return in kind' from their country is something we all need to protest and fight against. So look forward to seeing this; it looks really good.

  • Damn this is good. It's hard hitting, accurate and realistic. Not easy to watch in some parts but that makes it all the more dramatic.

The heartbreaking frustrations Murphy O'Shea endures are played beautifully by Chris Martini.

This film begs the question: why do we treat our Veterans like this?

I sure as hell hope the independent film festivals wake up and take note of this moving and well done film.

  • Chris, I am humbled by this film.

At some point in time, we fans of Max Martini would love to see your work in full.

May your film work toward showing our Government where they fall short in helping our wounded warriors.

    angel

  • I can hardly wait to see this film. Our veterans go through so much both during their service and afterwards, and my hope is that if enough people can see Chris' film, we can do better by those people who serve us. It looks like this film is very well-done, very honest and real -- bravo to everyone involved!

  • I was deeply touched by the post-battle, personal war revealed in this trailer. Thank you for the authentic view of a selfless American Warrior. Murphy's silent demons are well portrayed, and the music adds to the creative tie between Vietnam-era father and son. TROOPER looks genuine and I THANK YOU for bringing all this untold emotion to life!

  • Really, really nice work, Chris, Writing, directing and your acting. "What kind of country forgets its warriors?" - indeed.

    Keep tackling the issues

Look forward to seeing the complete film.

    Very powerful.....

  • "This trailer presents, in an emotional and truthful way, the awesome challenge our young men and women face when they return home. It looks to be a film that is neither anti war or pro war. "Trooper" is pro soldier! Thank you Chris Martini for giving us our civilian mission. Stand up for our troops and their rights. Everyone in this country should see this film!

  • Any film that gets people to think and shake off the growing apathy is good. The only easy ending to the mess in the middle east was to avoid it in the first place. Same shit as Vietnam. Nobody learned. Assholes start wars. Heroes end them. A "real people" film will be welcome as opposed to more shoot-em -up fireball Hollywood crap.

  • on this Veteran's Day eve I hope that this film is NOT anti-military. I know that many do come home scarred, but I have 2 brothers who never served who are screwed up and no one to blame. My son and nephew are AF & just back from Gulf. So proud. I do hate that this gov is spending so much, yet we the People have to step up for the Wounded Warrior Foundation. Yes lots of sides to this coin.

  • Wow! so moving can't wait to see the whole film.

  • Great job Chris! From what I've seen, the movie feels authentic! Good luck with the festivals! Enjoyed meeting you at the Military Writers Society of America conference in Orlando.

  • Intense.........

  • Glad to see this Trailer and hear Jessi Robertson's song.

  • I was privileged to view a private screening of this film and I am very grateful. It impacted me in a way that magnified my compassion for our service men and women 100-fold. Trooper is informative as well as being a touching tribute that makes one very grateful for the brave souls that guard our freedoms. Wishing you the very best , Chris . I am looking forward to following this film on its successful path! Congratulations!

  • Hi, Richard. Looks very disturbing....and very REAL. As a Veteran of the Iraq & Vietnam wars, there is much for me to relate to/identify with in this film. I'm very proud of you for doing this, & may God bless you always. "Taurus Senior"

  • If the movie is as powerful, thoughtful, balanced and well acted as the trailer, this will be an important and provocative movie that might actually change the lives of thousands of vets.

  • This film looks to be a truly sincere and moving insight into what goes on, and I hope to catch it sometime.

I wish the filmakers much luck with it.

  • This promo shows the power of human emotion in overcoming difficult circumstances. I am certain this movie will achieve its objectives, giving people a resonance of hope that when we stand up for ourselves and others, peace is possible. Inner peace, and outer peace too.

I am from Canada, and have heard of these situations. This movie will be an eye opener for many about the human condition that involves pride, compassion, heart and soul.

Great script, acting, production and music too.

    Peace

  • I caught a private screening. Timely and compelling, a powerhouse of a movie! Generations of vets will identiify with it. Grabs at your heart and gut. A must see!

  • it is unbelievable the scrifices that the soldiers make for us. i look forward to watching the full film.

  • looks powerful

  • I watched this film having no idea what I was about to see....I was captivated from start to finish. Not only did I laugh and cry, but it informed me of something that I was not aware existed. The film has stayed with me in a powerful way. I look forward to it's success, congratulations Chris!

  • Looks Great! Really nice production value! Nice job!

  • Based on the trailer, the movie will be a real "barn-burner". Can hardly wait to see the feature on DVD.

  • I have been fortunate enough to screen this film and can say it is heartfelt portrayal not only of a father and son's intimate relationship, but of the physical & emotional struggles our veterans may be dealing with upon return from our wars. It is not a political film. Neither pro or anti war, but a very human film everyone should see.

  • Chris has a great perspective on the current issues and was able to bring them to the screen in an incredibly tasteful fashion. As a veteran I am honored to support this film.

I look forward to the release of the movie; I will share with my fellow Veterans of all Wars.

    Martini productions, one word...incredible!

  • Was fortunate enough to see an early screening of this. Very powerful, and very well done. One of the best indy films I have seen for a long time.

  • Actor Chris Martini shines in this emotionally charged tale of a father and son dealing with effects of war and peace - both wounded warriors of the heart and soul!

A must see movie for all those wanting to better understand what is going on today with our men and women who are coming home from today's present wars. I personally recommend this film and encourage you to go see this film when it is available in your area.
