@Geritopia A perfect future for it. FCP-X now , like an Avid, works off of one codec type natively - ProRes. Any other formats are transcoded to ProRes. Alexa starts with ProRes. But unlike the Old FCP, FCP-X is actually modern and fast using all procs with a more optimized code. The new FCP-X is way immature which pissed people off. But what they have doen so far is VASTLY better than the previous FCP. Just give it time. But for right now now it should sing in FCP-X.
Alexa and D21 are the hands down best image (at least for undwe 100k) ... John should walk around to the camera thats shooting and wind the exposure ring down half a stop...multi-tasking lol
