  • Adult Tommy sounds great in this video. He sounds pretty good on the others, but I'd've loved if he could've brought some of these belty notes to the other songs, particularly We're Not Gonna Take It.

  • @TommyOrdster I agree! I kept trying to push him but he wanted to mostly play it safe because his range is more of a baritone than tenor.

  • @sbamkmfdmdfmk I completely feel ya! I'm a bass and I usually top out around F# or G. I'm preparing an audition for a production of Tommy right now and those A's and Bb's are killing me.

  • Again, this is impressive. Would you happen to have the final curtain call?

  • @SuperBTRForever Thanks! This actually was our curtain call. We didn't do individual bows.

  • Great production! I'd like to see part 1 too.

  • BTW...where is the pt.1? :(

  • @alemaldonado and @Grace1205100 If you go to my channel page and look through my uploads you should be able to find all the parts.

  • Pete Townshend Is a genius, from US he got the story!....that´s the reason why we feel so much the words "See Me, Feel Me, Touch Me, Heal Me".....A piece of Tommy is living in all of us..."from you i get the story"

  • this gives me chills....and I totally love the two younger Tommys!

  • @sallysimpson7 Thanks!!!

  • wow!

  • just watched this whole production trying to get an idea of what the show was about. im still not so sure but overall it was a great production with some really good talent!

  • Thank you so much for putting this up here. I extremely enjoyed your production. If I could high five you all I would.

  • Impressive, most impressive. I am just starting pre-production of Tommy in Denver. This video has been very inspiring. I am going to try to do it with a cast of 30, and make all of them watch this before they arrive for auditions. Thanks.

  • @Kaseynaa Thanks!! We had a cast of 30 to 35 as well. Glad it's helpful for you!

  • This is really good considering how low key the company is. Great ending.

  • I play John Entwistle in a who tribute band in the Sacramento California area. We are working with a major California University here to put this show on. This is very well done, kudos this isn't an easy production.

  • Dude you are awesome for uploading all of these!!

  • @mizikem23 Thanks! Hope you enjoyed our production.

  • so cool! Our theater is doing Tommy right now, and my son and daughter are playing the 4 & 10 yr. old Tommys. It is a fun show.

  • So is the Avondale Theatre company regional theatre or.......?

  • @lelukeva ATC is the theatre group of Avondale High School in Auburn Hills, MI. This show was a bit unique as it was a summer show put together by Avondale alumni spanning the past twenty years, current AHS students, three teachers, as well as the kids who are part of Avondale Schools, but not yet in the high school.

  • @sbamkmfdmdfmk I thought that it "may" be a high school production however the different ages sort of threw me. The level of production is amazing as all we had in high school was drama club and our productions were in no way at this level and we sure as heck didn't have a summer program regrettably.

  • Shit. Did Tommy ever put some weight on when he was ten...lol.

Saw of version of this last November. It was just as good. Definately my favourite song to watch from any kind of Tommy performance, always so much energy.

It's also my favourtite song to play. So simple off the bat, but add your own personal flare to it and becomes so incredibly...good. Congrats on getting to play for it.

  • hey! this is actually a really cool performance you guys have brought on stage there! congrats, I love it!

but ... is it me or is the tommy guy totally off key during his "listening to you" solo part, before he is joined by the other cast members?

  • @janoroh Thanks for the compliments! I think you're incorrectly describing what you're hearing. He's definitely singing a different note from the usual melody by singing a lower harmony instead. This isn't off-key though as he's still singing with correct pitch and in the context of the song's key. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!!

  • The guitar solo I'm playing at 2:48 is an amalgam of the Isle of Wight '70 and Woodstock '69 solos.
