I have a copy of this movie and watch it often. The only Star, of the movie, still living is Barbara Lawrence. The movie is a reminder that none of us are on Earth for long. If you are interested in the movie, I purchased a used copy on Amazon.com. Mine is a VHS version, but you might be able to find it on DVD.
I have found, when the world seems to be getting the best of me,,,,I watch this Nelson movie and my stress level returns to normal. The Nelson's have a calming affect on me.
This was actually the "pilot" for their TV series- Ozzie wanted to see how the family would look on the "big screen" {and eventually, the smaller ones at home}. This was a big deal for people to actually SEE the Nelsons interact, after hearing them on radio for eight years. And enough people DID want to see more of them, and the TV series premiered in the fall of 1952, after this movie finished its theatrical engagements.
Harriet Nelson (Harriet Hilliard) is a wonderful singer. She starred in the Fred and Ginger musical "Follow The Fleet" in the mid thirties. She looked so beautiful and alluring, and had a heavenly voice to match.

By the way, this film was released on home video [through MCA] over a dozen years ago...but the definitive DVD version has yet to be issued!

I saw that movie at a picture show when I was a kid. Wish TCM channel would show this movie. Thanks for the memory.
