@1168shape shut the hell up idiot. Gorilla's are wonderful creatures, nothing retarded about treating them good. unlock some black natives who kill them for like 20 dollars.
When that gorilla wouldn't let him go I know he was thinking "O Fuck why did I do this again!!!!"...looking nervous as a mofo. Nothing like the Lion reuniting video lol
This broke my heart.....I understand how important it is to rehabilitate the animals and to release them, but he loves Damian so much and he abandoned him!! I could not imagine having to do this!! Im sure it was equally as hard for him as well!!
When will we as humanity come to realize that despite our evolution, our technology, or our way of life, really has absolutely no significance in the animal realm. We are all equals...if a story such as this does not touch your heart, then you do not have the gift of kindness and compassion for the animal kingdom.
It is incredible what we can do if we really set up our minds to do it, we can actually save amazing species like gorillas...... that actually have complex emotions and advanced thought process. In any event it is a great video......
Damn it, why'd you have to go and make me cry lol ...geez. This is a very touching video, and it's hard not to cry watching it. I thought it was very sad how the guy had to leave but the gorilla kept on holding onto him. That shows true love ....his buddy had returned.
I DON'T THINK I WOULD BE ABLE TO LEAVE IF I WAS IN HIS SHOES. IF I SAW HIM THEN FOLLOW MY BOAT WHEN I LEFT I WOULD HAVE TO PULL OVER AGAIN TO SAY GOOD BYE AGAIN BECAUSE IT WOULD JUST BREAK MY HEART. SWEET. SO SWEET.
and still we think we have the right to kill animals. we are sick!! but i believe one day we will understand that animals are way more intelligent then we suspect and we live in peace together
i'd like to punch that guy in the head. he's only hurting that gorilla just so he can say "that was amazing" I wish the gorilla would have bite his head off
I first saw Damian, his family and the gorillas he was sending back to the forests on Steve Irwin's "Croc Hunter" approximately 5 years ago. It was heartbreaking to see them leave the safety of Damian's reserve. Are these the same gorillas from that show? Incredible! Thank you so much for sharing your experience...
Damian is one amazing guy. The work he does is incredible. At least he's at least one person trying to change these beautiful creature's lives around, so they can have a sustainable future.
A truly touching story, kudos to Damian and the work he does. This looks exactly like a scene from the movie " Instinct" with Anthony Hopkins. If you haven't seen the film I suggest you see it.
I pray that your gorilla friends live a long and happy life and never meet up with poachers. These creatures need our protection, love and respect.
This is just beautiful. How lucky are we to have Damian, not only raising a gorilla but having the courage to seek out and have a close encounter with Kwibi 5 years later in the wild. Thank you Damian for sharing your story - you have enriched my life.
ulujm and rickwaynt - What do YOU do for conservation? Perhaps enlighten yourselves by checking Aspinall's work and Howlett's (as well as many other dedicated people, rich and poor worldwide). If everyone helped then there would be no problem. So many species being destroyed by our greed. Do you check for using palm oil products for example? There is just SO much to do -not enough "carers" or money available. My bit? see scottishrarebreeds
@ulujm , I agree , the humans need to satisfy their ego seems to be overriding the gorillas need to be left alone.... these people ascribe emotions to the gorilla it just doesn't have. If he'd (Kwibi) attacked he would have been dead meat....and we would have never seen this story....
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God
all the talk about torture and abuse is valid, I can vouch for that on a personal level...
but... this video brought tears to my eyes, because i thought of the time when my friend and I finally meet eye to eye.. ahh.. 'to be drunk on each other', like these two... just absolutely wonderful share, James... you have a very good eye and heart !
@areyoulookinatmepal I am the one with total disappointment at mankind. Animals don't pollute, don't kill for pleasure, don't invade countries and don't torture. Take your pick.
@areyoulookinatmepal No, you are right. But I happen to be born in a family of respectful citizens toward the animals and the planet. We were taught to understand and love them. Have you seen lately how many ppl torture animals? I belong to several Humane Societies and o respond to you question - yes , we would all sacrifice to the benefit of others. Yes I do adore my family.
i say good people like us,but how do i know you're good, you want the annihilation of mankind,i kid,i kid,i joke with you.i've seen many vids of abuse, even one i cant find now about how they fatten up thanksgiving turkeys,it was horrific.i'd want all the bad selfish people to die
@areyoulookinatmepal I am not there yet but working it up. Becoming a veggie. I can't see any vid about abuse...they hurt me terribly. It's like watching children being abused.
it's good you havn't seen any yet, since you already know it's happening then dont break your heart by seeing it,you'd really want to kill someone,i know i do,and would if it came down to me or them
@classicallady I concur with the others...you are part of the problem. If all you are going to do is complain then start the anihilation with yourself, or shut up!
Leaving him once would break my heart, but leaving him twice is unimaginable.
Love, devotion, wisdom, understanding, compassion, commitment, friendship & loyalty, the things that all intelligent mammals are better at than humans.
Why would you put something so intelligent into a cage at the zoo?
If someone hunts and kills animals for sport, that person SHOULD BE PUT TO DEATH ASAP. An Animals Life is Worth THE SAME AS A HUMANS LIFE.
Gorillas would do a far better job at governing this world.
@halcyon0830 zoos hold animals based on the "logic" that seeing them up close will bring awareness of their plight and cause pepple to want to save them and their habitats. its a tough call deciding whether to keep them there or release them all but spread less knowledge and awareness.
I had tears on my eyes when I saw this; what a lesson for all the hunters and people that destroy animals. The love and affection this animal expressed is incredible. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Myriam
@mosienko1983 I was delighted that my old friend Kwibi remembered me after 5 years and although I was sad to be parted from him again, I know that he is where he belongs; in his natural habitat with his wives, protected by the rangers who do a fantastic job.
