In all honesty he doesn't understand that this game is based around character mechanics and character progression, which with the fan patch and Underlord (the spiritual expansion) is undeniably strong.

The Immortal Throne Expansion pack is a must have to fix things and complete the story. Even with this it's obvious the reviewer played it very little. Items do get better as you progress through the game. You can keep items and exchange between characters too. Class and character system was not mentioned, which is outstanding and skill points can be re-assigned if wanted so replay is enjoyable. The video shows mostly early gameplay and his items looked fairly poor ;)
i havent played this game but D2 got pretty boring and repetitive. D2 was short too and when you enter the next level of difficulty it was the same game except the enemies are stronger!!
funny how he failed to mention that this game practically does not have a real ENDING. for those of you whove finished it should know what i mean ! finishing this game leaves you with NO sense of fullfillment whatsoever ! its like you killed the final boss... and then what??? slightly better graffix and gameplay physics aside, i'd stick to D2 any time of the day!

Couldn't agree with you more. I've tried a number of similar RPG's but I always come back to DS2. True, Titan Quest look awesome but the loot/skill system just doesn't work the way it should (or could, for that matter)...

What makes this game fantastic, are the 36 possible classes we can build, the visuals and the combat physics.
Diablo fans (me included) cannot deny the improvements this game has given to the hack & slash genre.

there are user patches which iron out ALOT of the bugs in the game as well some difficulty mods and new adventures if you want them.
Already there is at least 1 custom quest that's worth playing.
I'd say if you are waiting for D3 - you should pick up TQ + exp as its an incredible game now with most bugs fully ironed out.

I beat the game, and i would say, its a 7/10, It is just far to repetitive, the lack of PvP, stupid item distributions makes it just a OK game.
