@cutegirlkami96 Are you kidding me?? You must have only heard one guitar solo in your entire life then. That sucked, tbh. I love TMV, but most of their solos are pretty trash (Goliath, anyone? What the hell was that?). This is no exception.

Also, I agree with the notion down there that those sound effects behind Cedric's voice are awful and completely unnecessary :P

@RetinalHaemorrhage it's not supossed to sound "nice" and "bluesy", if omar wanted he would just use pentatonic scales.. if you play guitar you would realize those nice sounding solos are actually easy to make.. i personally love alot of the solos omar makes.. but yeah there are a couple i don't like..

He just shows how he feels through the guitar, and it's kinda inapropiate in my taste to make a solo like someone as Gilmour would make in this song.. it would be just awkward..

And yes, some of Omar's solos are nice. He did some great stuff in De-Loused. But most of the stuff on Amp and Bedlam sound pretty bad. The one on this song is just "meh". Perhaps I overreacted. Ah well. I'm frankly surprised and pleased that they would do a cover of this song though.

What an incredible cover; haven't listened to it in a year or so, and it's still as powerful as ever. I can see why Nick Drake fans might not be fans of it, but discovering it from a MV perspective, I think it surpasses the brilliant original.

its impossible to be better than the original, I know they didnt cover it to make it sound "better", but....no, I dont know how, but for me they just make it sound like a transition between two songs, more than a real song....I think noone even the best ones can match Nick Drakkes style as written before

Both the TMV cover and the actual song are both superb in their own way, the only difference is that Cedric's voice is more intelligible while Nick Drake's singing has more of a softer tone but it sounds like he mumbling the whole time...
