wow i was 6 years when toy story was released, im 21 now! time flyes by yet these movies still own a piece of my heart. they are so great! sad that andy had to give all his toys away. mine are in the attic! lol i take them out from time to time when my little cousins come to visit :)
even though its the 3rd movie and people might of thought or great this will be stupid but every1 thought wrong pixar knows wat theyre doing they have a good story line great animation and the characters are great especially andy and its really good that even after all these years found the guy who did andy wen he was a kid and brought him back great movie and really touchig at the end wen he gives his toys away (but stays and plays w the girl 4 a little)
its so sad because you know its the end of it, well of andy. when you think about it, it's the end of a lot of things as you get older... i have to see this movie.
@MyRationalHypothesis It was some kid named Charlie Bright, who also voiced one of the peas-in-a-pod. At first, I thought that all of the dialogue for young Andy in the home movie montage was from dailies recorded by John Morris during Toy Story 1 and/or 2.
You know, he kind of looks like Andy now. My only regret about this movie is that I couldn't drag anyone with me to see it twice. But then after 400 million in US numbers alone... I imagine that you guys found some people who did! Can't wait for this DVD!!!
My opinion is that Toy Story was created for the kids who were the same age as Andy. And I think it's amazing that the Toy Story movies grow up along with it's audience.
Toy Story 3 definately struck a cord with all the teens who were leaving for college. I don't think any other movie has had such an impact on a generation. The fact that the voice actor for Andy is still the voice of Andy, just makes the movie so much better.
it definantely was so relatable to the high school class of 2010 graduates (like me lol) and i watched first 2 films when i was a child too but lets not say Oh toy story is JUST for us teens and adults; its still a childrens movie, my lil brother who just turned 8 (10 years younger than me) LOVES toy story we have dvds so he's watched them alot & recapped them on youtube and even has real life size woody and buzzlight year action figures
So amazing , they stuck to their roots and kept the same actors ha other movies need to do this. We become comfortable as an audience and like to have our old friends back.
See, this is why Toy Story should be in the hands of PIXAR.
If The deal had fully fallen through 5-6 years ago and PIXAR and Disney split, then the company would have made all those not-necessary direct-to-video sequels and Andy would never have aged. He'd be like all the iterations of Christopher Robin in the Pooh series: stuck as a 'forever child' being voiced by multiple young boys.
Btw, they even brought back Sid's original Voice-actor for his cameo. That's why we love PIXAR!
I can imagine how emotional John must've been. I grew up with this movie and felt so tear-eyed at the ending, simply because it's so hard to let go of out childhood...
It's great that you guys got him to voice Andy in this movie, though :)
HOLY CRAP!
I didnt know they got the same kid!
