  • thats wonderful thankyou :)

  • is there any vid, what showes them playing the pipes ogther?

    great!

  • Barney tapping the foot behind them is only speeding them up..

  • putos generations q mal suenanXD

  • its funny how most irish people look the same, with slight variations and different color hair

  • @TheBirdMamma what? fucking hell if you said that about blacks or chinese you would have a shit storm about racism...we dont all look the same...now away with ya

  • @lars3939

I am Italian,Austrian,German,Irish,French,Dutch,British. I'm not racist just saying how Irish people kinda have an "irish look".

  • @TheBirdMamma I did not take it as a racist comment, was just a little put out by it and then thought about what you said and gave an example of the funny world we live in. Nothing else

  • The most amazing part of this video is seeing three different Generations that don't sound like rubbish.

  • @SkinheadCharlie LOL! They must have tweaked the whistles. I still haven't figured out why so many of the great whistle players out there play those dreadful Generations. Can someone explain this to me???

  • @rmm413c

Generation's quality control is dreadful. I play a generation, I got 2 at the same time, a C and C low, the C is great, nice tone, decent air cost, only hitch is the 2nd octave, the C low is terrible, volume is crap, tone is breathier then a wind tunnel and the second octave is gone, air cost will choke you. They won't compete with, say an Abell but are quite cheap, and once in a while, you find a good one. The old ones were quite nice I hear.

  • Seamus sang well also. He was music personified and I suspect he could have played any instrument if he put his mind to it. The music just flows through him. Amazing.

  • @elfinia Would agree ...he could have played anything ...his daughter is an accomplished organist. His own view of his own singing I think was that while he could sing he was not of .the top drawer.

  • This is a priceless contribution. Thank you so much. V

  • @Imal00ter20 care to tell me how, ive been playing the tin whistle for fourteen years, and those generation/feadógs can't go out of tune unless you crack the mouthpeice, and none of those fine musicians has a tony dixon tunable so they actually cant be out of tune

  • that wink and a nod. only an irishman can do that.

  • emm the tin whistle being diatonic and all is a real hoor in that it actually cant go out of tune... unless you break it so ya

  • @iamthegooch85 Can still be out of tune with each other.

  • Pipes or whistles, it'd be a miracle to have any 3 of the above instruments in tune together...

  • Perhaps I'm wrong; however, the tin whistle, by itself, captures the Irish soul.

  • It depends who is playing it ;)

  • It's the same for any instrusment.

  • very Kool be sure to post more and is there any way i could buy a cd of this music from you internationally this would be great to play headed to Texas

  • well i mean the cd in the plane so i dont freak out on the plane like usual and start chewing on my arm and worring the window will break out and then i will have my head rip off being pulled out the window and shredded in the jet engions and then someone haveing my decapitated head in their pool

  • Do I spot wonderfully bearded Barney McKenna behind them?

  • never seen this footage of my grandad seamus, thanks for posting this

  • would have rather have heard all 3 play the pipes instead!

  • Hmm.. They are all using Generations...

  • Didn't have as much of a choice back then...

  • But what I also meant was that it seems many such masters and the like really do play and endorse Generations..

  • is that barney mckenna behind sean keane and seamus ennis?

  • Seán playing the whistle????? Never knew he did...although jigs are handy enough on the whistle though...still though takes balls to do it beside the one and only Mr. Seamus Ennis.. Met Seán and his wife recently in my home town..a real gentleman

  • @tommyobrien84 Didn't he die in 1982?

  • @Newrock2425 Yes Séamus Ennis died in 1982..

  • they could fasten the leg on me anytime

  • Wow fantastic Thanks

  • Wow a rare piece indeed!
