They had no airforce, only 30 old ww2 tanks, no navy, no resupply yet they still held out for almost a month but they still get criticized for their performance, and really this is VERY unfair. @sanalbey What I know, and have heard many times in the last 3-4 years is that the Turkish Cypriots protest against the turkish government because they are treated as if they were citizens of lower status. Turkey sees Cyprus (especially the occupied part) as a game and doesn't give a damn about them. If you ask a Turkish Cypriot (a native one, not the Turks brought from Anatolia) the most possible answer you will get is that they have regretted letting Turks invade Cyprus.

there are more than 284 prisoners my friend.. 1768 were taken as prisoners during the war.. most of them are dead even though we haven't found their bodies. new tombs were found and many of them were burried recently.. but there is always a hope that some of them are alive..
