I remember the Zephyr and Fairmont dashboards rattled like tin cans being dragged behind newlyweds. It was so annoying that I had to brace myself when going over railroad tracks. Those were some awful memories.

Mercury hired some real babes in these late 70's commercials.

I like this Cougar way more than the generation that followed.

one of my friends in high school had a NEW xr-7 cougar, black and gold just like this one..... good memories....loved the 70s.......

I always like the zephyr z-7 with the extra chrome trim and sport rims that where offered.

These were such pimp cars in the day. I remember the bros would place pillows on the rear parcel shelf.

the 73 and up had to be the worst years of mercury cougar ever i am sry to say the best years tho is 67 and 72 the only years of cougar that was good why coz 67 to 72 look like a muscle 73 and up look like a god dam boat they took away the muscle car look and just turn it in to a big old boat ha ha ha

I'd go for the Zephyr any day. I find it the best looking of the two cars in the commercial.
