  • Love this-the guitar has meaning here, not just drowned out over-distorted metal. 1:28 was great as the lead stops yet the other still plays. What a powerful ending this game had, & you ended this just as well. That is a moving part, at 2:20, w/ the xylophone sound; reminds me of Selan & Maxim, that they will both die, yet their child is safe. You can feel the struggle @ 3:55, really is great how it all ends @ 4:30. It's not repetitive, but reminiscent&poignant, knowing what happens to them both.

  • Can anybody tell me the title of this music and the artist? Thx

  • @SuperSupernal I believe its overclocked rmix - the very end

  • never played or heard of lufia, but this song is absolutley fantastic...

  • Lufia is just AWSOME!! the story, the gameplay the music!!! i love this music ^^

  • that awkward moment when a game doesn't have a cliche ending where everyone comes back to life.

  • This tune is SOOOO nice i could listning to it for hours!

  • n1 one you are a tru hero

    i must cry ..... ^^

    RIP Maxim and Selan

  • I just realized, and have to ask - why did you not include the arpeggio runs in this song? I could see how it would be hard to find the right instrumental sound, but I'm just curious! I play lots of VGM on my Marimba, and those arpeggio runs are my favorite!

  • I would seriously buy an album of yours if all of the songs/remixes were this kind of style. The intro is my favorite part - that hooked me more than anything else.

  • This is one of my favorite RPG's of all time, right on the top with Final Fantasy III(VI), VII and fallout (series). Brought back a ton of memories hearing this.

  • Just wow

  • This sounds like something ArtificalFear

  • Every second you worked on this song was well worth it! This, my friend, is absolutely perfect!

By far the best remix I have heard.

  • I was 11 when I finished this game. It was the first ending I ever cried to, like, nearly bawled. The fan music still makes me well up a little.

  • Theres something to be said about the Fanmade Version's about alot of songs not only are they usually very Brilliant and beautiful. They also show that person's personal relationship with the game to take the time to do something so wo0nderful and make it there own. Brings a tear to my eye :P

  • Amazing just Amazing

  • I really like this... absolutely stunning!

  • E.P.I.C.

  • This literally ROCKS!! When I first heard this, man I could not stop and I can't stop and will not stop! Love this yo, thanks for the great remix!!

  • This is one of the most amazing remixes of this that I've seen. I'd love a lyric version.

  • which drum plug did u use, sounds superb?!

  • Is there anyway I can get this for my mp3 player! This would be the ultimate mellow out song.

  • This is some seriously good shit man, keep it up.

Sidenote - This original SNES artwork is so much better. Full platemail and sword? Yes please. Maxim actually looks badass, unlike his idiotic "j-pop youth" look in the DS remake.

  • realy nice gj.

  • That was siiiiick buddy.

  • epic!

  • Tabs? <3

  • that fan art is rocking. May I ask where you got it from?

  • @rando168 It's the box art from the Japanese version. ^^

  • I Love This Song

  • I.Im not crying! What are you talking about, I just... Gades stabbed me in the eye is all stupid! No way am I crying at this!

Absolutely beautiful, theres nothing more to be said about this.

  • so beautiful. Imagining this as an outro music, brings me shivers over my back.

  • I'm speechless , this is epic ohmygoodnesss .

  • Final fantasy suck! Lufia rock!

  • Where's the "Love" button?

  • Eargasm.. man i wish i could play with my guitar so beautiful.

    Go on! Dont stop playing!

  • dude can i have a mp3 of this ????

  • @Decker00 It's listed on his ocremix.org account.

  • @Decker00 you sir, have the right idea! me 2 please???

  • CalebElijah's version is pretty badass, but yours is beyond belief.

I just had an epic overload. XD

  • Lufia possibly the pinnacle of rpg for the era, If only it hadnt gotten that crappy DS remake maybe the Lufia series could of lived on, Instead they murdered Lufia like they murdered our Precious Shining Force >_>

  • I'm just throwing this out there, but Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals is an absolutely amazing game. I've played the shit out of Lufia 2 and know absolutely every plot twist and story point, and the DS game follows it pretty well. Being an action RPG the story goes by a little faster as well. It even threw in a few twists of it's own that threw me off a little, like how they got Tia to stick around.

Just... check it out before you dismiss, like I did. You won't regret it.

  • @Quietpower99 i know what u mean, it was an addicting game, and i wish it would get more credit, it really kept alot of lufias total epicness.

  • brings tears to my eyes, I keep playing the events of lufia II over and over in my head It truely is a sad tale about those who sacrifice their lives to save those that they hold dear to them, a much more powerful tale then most rpgs out there.

  • @codemasterda It's because the game was so long and there was tons of build up to it that you got emotionally attached to the characters. You grew to like them and were that much more devastated when it all went down in the end.

  • @codemasterda It's a puppeeeeet

  • I really lik this version

  • this is sexy sexy sexy, brings me back to my childhood, good memories with the nintendo

  • where can i get this for download? lol

  • This is making me wanna play the lufia series again...

  • Fucking awesome. Awesome. Instant favorite. Keep it coming.

  • Any download link?

  • Wow! It's so emotional! I've practically teared up! Freakin awesome! Not to mention it brings back so many memories!

  • This is amazing, do you have a downloadable file?

  • @anassisofdreams use zamzar, its perfect for this kinda stuff, donloading you tube vids

  • nekofrog you just brought me back to one of my most beloved games in such an epic way. Thank you!!!!!!!! Did you do any other covers of this game

  • Great and beautifull made! I mean the original was nice, but this is awesome:D Lufia 2, best rpg ever made.

  • @Theizzer it certainly was my favorite RPG I almost teared up when I heard this

  • @kormoski420 no kidding. after like a million hours playing who could help it?

  • oh my f ing god. wonderfuly done. More please.

  • this kinda reminded me of Chicago from perfect dark.

  • always awesome *_*

    loved the game

    loved the soundtrack

and now i love that what you´ve made out of one of the most epic songs in the game !!! realy realy nice ;)

  • hey where can i download this picture. i would like to use it for my background :) ???

  • Good God, this is epic!

  • my favorite song, from my favorite game, remixed by a fuckin badass, i want tabs please?

  • yeah saw the thing for the remake, i have no faith in square for quite a long time and watching their video doesn't change my view on them.

  • This is pretty much amazing, really.

  • Awesome man, i'd have to say this is THE BEST Remix i have seen for Lufia 2.

  • Paint it black much?

  • dude, this is incredible. I love playing this piece on guitar, and I'm totally gonna rock out along with this piece when I get home!

  • P-please tell me you're able to have a download link for this? O:

Fantastic remix. I never imagined this song being played this way, yet it fits so perfectly, not to mention it sounds incredible. One of my favourite songs in the whole soundtrack just got a whole lot better. (:

  • Wow, I hope this is on OC Remix now. Of all the covers I've heard of this track, THIS is the most awe-inspiring and emotional. Awesome job!

  • And this remix made my jaw drop. I haven't been this awestruck upon hearing a piece of music since the first time I heard "For the Savior" in-game.

  • i just started well found out about this game but so far im hookd lol i love the music and the battles are ok its no ff but comes really close not like those gay ass games like chrono trigger with horible party members this game has a good cast and thats what you need in an rpg oh yea and nice song 10/10!!!!!!1

  • ive recently rebeat this game for the millionth time and still love it! great remix!

  • very impressive dude, pity the new lufias story is horrible in comparison to the original 2...

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E is there anywhere i can download this???

  • iam at a lost for words amazing

  • Gotta say im loving this song alot, very well dont! Loved this game as a kid (and still now sadly ;p)

But i gotta say, i think doing it without lyrics was a good move, im sure your vocalist is great and all but im liking it without. If you do intend to add lyrics could you please leave the non-lyric version up too?

  • Oh god this is soooooooooooo good!

Ive already ready pulled down my pants and am now rubbing the netcafe phone between my buttocks while jamming to this

    raging orgasm man for real

  • This work is fantastic. Any chance for more of the Lufia series in the future. Great job!

  • adore it.

  • 2:23... FUCKIN KICKASS!!!

  • excelente.

  • very very very epic! nice tribute to one of the best snes rpg´s in my opinion

brings back good memories of childhood

  • Ive asked before but didn't get a response, but is there somewhere i can download this mp3 =D?????

  • it was such a classic game when i was growing up. but it had some of the best music. this is a great remix and it does the game justice

  • Epic.

  • emotion, passion and history all packed into one piece - awesome man

  • History!? wtf? I didn't know this song contained history?

  • well actually its just random sound interpreted by our brain, but since I identify the lufia series and this tune with the good old rpg times its somewhat history for me.

  • omfg i have been loving this tune ever since i played this game and THIS an extraordinary amazing version I really have tear drops in my eyes, because of the emotion of this song/version i totally love it...

and your right i agree this were the last words maxim said to selan... this song really touches me^^

    <333

    awesome awesome awesome!!!

    i have to thank you^^

  • SO SICK! SOSOSOSOSOSOSO SICK!

Brings back a lot of memories, great job man.

PS: Fuck these idiots that have negative comments.

  • Best version of this ever.

  • Do someone have the Tabs of the Song? I would like to play this on Guitar

  • @Remisce, I would trust them alot more if they hadn't teamed up with Square enix, who has a penchant for brutalising old classics that were perfect as they were.

  • My face melted off from the intensity. This is insanely great.

  • Why is everyone so negative? Lufia 2 is being remake by the original developers. It is being remade in general. Have some faith and trust in the people that brought you the beautiful original, hm?

  • Remakes in general suck ass.

  • @tokuraws

    Name 10

  • Naw. Do your own work.

  • @tokuraws

    HAHAHA

    very nice come back

    i approve

  • 1.Your face :)

  • @Dannyrocksass

too true nothing can beat the original, all clones are a failure

  • @Remisce If anything, I am just so incredibly overjoyed that Lufia II is being remade at all, and that this wonderful franchise has not been completely left in the dust.

And if the new version ends up being a total failure, well...we still have the first game to turn back to, right?

  • Not meaning to spam, but just adding this thought -- That kind of negative attitude is why the old games rarely see the light of day again unless they have really rich companies backing them up (Lufia 2).

Are you just scared of change or are you not willing to support a game you love/loved? -_-; Geez.

  • Taito brought BACK some people who worked on the game, but the game itself is being developed MOSTLY by square-enix. Also, Square-Enix brought in some of their people too, which is evident in the character art (Selan looks like a bluehaired Quistis), and the gameplay looks nearly IDENTICAL to "Final fantasy crystal chronicles".

So apart from the somewhat weird redesign of the characters (maxim, guy, pink-hair dekar, lasergun wielding artea), and the copied gameplay, no, I cant say I am excited.

  • Do you not know the difference between developer and publisher? Square-Enix did not make the game, regardless of the fact that the character designer is Yusuke Naora. Neverland--*Neverland*--is the developer. Square-Enix is the publisher for this game. So switch your sentence please.

Honestly, I don't care if people like or dislike the game, I'm just sick of the stupid misinformation and judgment because of Square's name on it.

  • You ignored all of my reasons for not being excited about the game so far, just because I mentioned Square enix being involved, which you instantly assumed was my soul reason for not liking it. So let me say this in a way that even you can understand;

    - I dont like the new character designs (maxims stupid grin, dekars pink hair, artea with a lasergun, guy looking like a retarded hulk)

    - I do not like the battlesystem (which is a blatant FFCC copy)

Fairly good reasons so far I think.

  • Your fairly flawless logic fails. You played a game that was developed for SNES using their limited quality graphics. Still, it turned out to be a wonderful and amazing game. Now you've decided to baww about graphics?

The game hasn't even come out yet, can you stop comparing a remake of your so-called "beloved" game and give it a chance?

At -least- shut your mouth, because the people (like me) who have waited since childhood to see a remake of this game -finally- get to see it reborn.

  • well said

  • Respect the classics. Respect the people who made it. The developers loved that game enough to remember it years after it died into time. For someone who loves the game, you sure aren't being a fan.

  • Right. I'm sure the license to the lufia franchise expiring this year (or next year) unless a new lufia game is made had -nothing- to do with this.

I respect the classic. Enough to -NOT- want to see it being milked out for the sake of keeping a license.

Who said I complained about GRAPHICS? I mentioned CHARACTER DESIGNS. I mentioned an almost shameless plug of a final fantasy game in terms of gameplay.

Dont speak to me of not being a fan just because I dont stare myself blind on a remake.

  • @Enacre Thank you, someone finally said it

  • @Remisce i understand where ur coming from, but if they remake this like they did ff4 no way in hell id get it, id rather stick with the snes version

  • this brings back some memories... Lufia was the first RPG that I ever played. Loved it, and love this song!

  • any way i can download this song? its spectacular

  • @nerothos Take it up with the original soundtrack composer.

  • @nerothos I paint my cock black and then fuck your mom in the ear with it.

  • The intro is a similar chord, but complete different key. and the rest of the song is nothing like paint it black.

    Paranoid much?

  • @LPersUnanimous

"Similar chord"? It's the exact same lead melody, that's all there is to it. Playing something in a different key doesn't change the fact that the intervals are identical to Paint it Black. Also, nowhere in my post did I state that the rest of the song was like Paint it Black, did I? How am I being paranoid for stating a pure fact? Are you implying that I am somehow afraid of this song?

  • You heard like 10 seconds of the song, and immediately ran to call the song a copy. I doubt you even listened to the rest of it before commenting.

  • @LPersUnanimous

I certainly did listen to the whole song, and I've played through Lufia 2 itself as well. Who's being paranoid here, really? You're jumping to the conclusion that I called the whole song a "copy" when I only wrote "Paint it Black much?". The intro most CERTAINLY is a copy, I didn't say anything about the rest of the song, did I?

  • The intro ISN'T a copy... its a similar chord, but its almost twice the speed and only lasts like 20 seconds. You might as well call saints row a copy of gta, yea its got some similarities but the story and gameplay is different

  • @LPersUnanimous

Yeah no, the intervals are identical, okay? If you don't know what intervals are then don't even bother replying to this.

  • @nerothos

Except that the intro is from the Lufia soundtrack, so, nyah. Coincidence, or the original soundtrack composer was a fan of the Stones.

  • mellow or not it's intense as all hell It totally paints a perfect picture in my mind of the whole feeling of that point in the game and everything that's happening during the story.

  • So so so awesome, sends chills down my spine. One of the most epic songs ever. Nice job !

  • Awesome cover on the Fortress of Doom theme. =D Heh, I'm all about Lufia now that the remake of Lufia II is coming up. Jap's getting it around February; it looks awesome. xD

  • I can't wait, I love lufia 2 it had the best love story for its time and one of the most tear jerkibng endings leaving fans wanting more.

  • Why cant new RPG Games be like Lufia or SOM or Terranigma?

  • because the younger generation don't apreciate good storylines and all they want is to play something that looks pretty and that takes 8 hours to beat.

  • Because graphics are expensive, but any game that *doesn't* have them is slammed by reviewers and tanks.

Hence companies plain don't have the money to make good games like that - developing for SNES was cheap, and a few guys with awesome ideas could do it. Now it needs huge teams and a crapload of money - which means companies are scared of doing more experimental stuff like Terranigma because if people don't like it, it can mean millions upon millions lost.

The price of technology, I guess.

  • hey that sounded pretty sweet thats the shit i can chill too

  • ABSOLUTELY FUCKING AMAZING! My nips are hard on end to this stuff!

  • ........xD

  • xDDDDDDDDD

    Cool xD

  • This one sent chills down my spine 5/5 & fave! O.O

  • where can i download the mp3?

  • Awsome!!! Purely Awsome!!!!!!!!

You should make the music for the next game!!!

There is so much emotion in this song.

    Great!!!

  • Everything is great... Except the beat. The beat stays pretty much exactly the same for like 3/4 of the song. It's hard to appreciate everything else when that's slowly grinding away at your sanity.

    Otherwise, fav'd

  • lufia ist the best game in the wold i luve lufi2

  • This took some serious skill.

  • AMAZING!

  • favorited, fucking brilliant!

  • epic

  • Totally awesome, best remix i've heard so far.

  • well done dude, this is brilliant. you have made an perfect ending theme for this.

  • nice job on the song.

  • Simply beautiful. I loved lufia 2 and TLR to death

  • I need this song on my MP3-player now.

( and I hate you for making me cry while listening to video game music. Why oh why can't we get another good game like this? )

  • because there is no way games mtoday can give us the feeling we had back when we first played this game, I still shed tears every time I see the ending.

    This remix amplifys that emotion.

  • There's a new lufia game for nintendo Ds on the way.

The best part, is that is largely based on Lufia 2 storyline, has Lufia 1 and 2 music, and is being made by the staff of the very first Lufia! :)

  • For the DS? *groan*

  • My god this music just made me gain 20 levels...

  • Yay, the Sinistral Shrine theme ^_^ Love this song.

  • Holy Crap Haha This needs to be on my Ipod. Fast. Cuz that was friken' epic. 5/5

  • Wow you HAVE to send this to OCRemix, I NEED that mp3!!! :P

You could celebrate that there is a new Lufia coming out!!!!

  • Send it months ago, it is now in the direct-post pile like my other mixes. Should be up relatively soon.

  • Sweet! I'll be looking forward to it!

  • why are you so amazing seriously looking at your stuff is melting my face!

  • Comment removed

  • Wheres's that picture from?

Oh, and before I forget, simply awesome :)

  • No idea, google image search yielded it. Probably a manual or an artbook or something.
