There is a sort of charm and elegance that the first two series had that the remakes later on never captured. Just looking at the opening credits I can feel a sense of affection and excitement that the other remakes were never able to do. These two series will forever be my favorite and forever special. Nowadays, the remakes are just more flashy and more trying to be cool which only ruins the soul and core of the story.

I think both songs have their unique style. This one has the dramatic and regal feeling while the theme of the 1st series has this very carefree and happy feeling.

Athough I do have to admit, I relate the show much more to the first theme than this one, probably because the first theme was the first I heard the theme of the series.
