I'm white. It's not a case of hating "white people who sing black songs". They do suck, only a deaf person would think this horrendous shrill noise was good singing. If I Ever Fall In Love is probably the hardest male song to sing in the world, for MEDIOCRE singers like BSB to even attempt to sing it laughable. There are a few white male singers who have beautiful soulful voices: James Morrison, Brent Smith, Justin Timberlake and Steven Tyler. BSB just can't sing that well. You're stupid.

Anyone can sing, I didn't deny that they can sing. They just have average voices. Shai were an amazing group with pitch-perfect vocals, BSB are a manufactured boyband, with average voices and good PR people. They did not do this song justice at all. They should stick to their midtempo basic pop songs, and leave the stunning acapella to the professionals. You just have no taste, or your partially deaf.

No, Retard, a manufactured band is a pop group who is put together by a record label, based on their commercial appeal. BSB were not a bunch of kids who formed a singing group and lucked out by getting a record deal after being heard by some A&R rep. They are as manufactured as groups go. Their entire existence was not to produce great music, but to sell records, that is all. Any boy can sing like BSB, that's the point. There's nothing above average about them, other than their looks.

He held auditions and advertised for male singers to form a new boyband who could be as successful as New Kids On The Block. They were not organically formed. They didn't know eachother until Lou Pearlman (who is not in prison for laundering money and fraud) called them all up and gave them a place in the group. Do your research before you post retarded comments. Their last album tanked.

They didn't fire Lou Pearlman, they sued him. He stopped being their manager, because it was a conflict of interest. They couldn't participate in the lawsuit with him still in charge. He was not fired, since he owned them, they didn't own him. They later bought out his 75% control of the Backstreet Boys brand.
Their last couple of albums were complete duds. Never Gone did not sell 12 million copies, you retard. Stop pulling your information out of your backside.

I'm white....I agree, they did a disgusting job. They butchered one of the most beautiful songs. They're a manufactured boyband. with mediocre voices, they shouldn't try and sing REAL music. Shai's version is absolutely stunning, soulful, magical, deep and breathtaking. The soaring high notes that Shai reach are perfectly magnified by the deep baritone. It's like musical orgasm.

i just listened to the original song by shai, and even though the bsb is my fave boyband, they sang this song really well, and howie sounded great, they didn't sing this better than shai. shai sang this song more soulfully, but the bsb just sang it really good and didn't connect with it. they were all in tune; it just sounded somewhat stiff. the bsb are still great though and i'm not dissing them.

First off a lot of you guys are wrong. AJ's Grandmother is German; while his Grandfather is latin. There also has not been any indication that his Grandfather is Cuban or otherwise. Read Denise's book, Backstreet Mom. She talks little bit of her parents in the book.
