why dont people understand that without triggers nowadays the bass drum sound would sound like a flacid dick slapping a bed mattress, in a soundboard concert mix.

as guitar and bass and mic amp technology advances, so must drum amp technology, or else all metal shows would sound muddy and shitty and the bass drums would barely be audible.

@guy158 I disagree cause if you first use a descent mic ( like AKG D412 ) and second you Know how to work with a soundbord you'll get a awsome sound out of the kick drums and the whole drum kit as well. Just listen to Iron Maidens " Live after death " album . Martin Birch did a brilliant job on that recording ! Also, in the early days you could tell a difference of the drummers, now they all sound the same 'cause of the triggers.
