For the none Scots who are missing the point here, this is a Scottish comedy show made by Scots for Scots (I don't know if it was shown outside the country) taking the pish out of 'Tay siders' using their accent and playing on their perceived (the tay is a river that flows out from Dundee on the East coast of Scotland) cultural stereotype. It's exactly the same as an English show taking the pish out of scousers or an American show poking fun at southern rednecks! Scotland has many accents !

Funny thing was we took the train to St Andrews and I could not understand a word they said over the PA system. We were with 4 German friends and I asked them if they understood, They replied, they are speaking English.
