One of my favorite "Southern English Slang" ways of describing someone to be obese is to tell them they are as "Fat as a Forty Pound Rabbit". Here is the video.
Hee hee hee... Rabbits make me laugh. The "pound and a half" comment, though, is only correct for very small breeds. My family has had rabbits before, and they've all ranged from between 4 or 5 pounds to 11 pounds.
yea no shit, i got a 50 pound weight sittin on the floor right here. no way they could pick up 42 pounds that easily. i'm guessing about half of that is correct
@ohgoodjoy And those are the smaller breeds. Those white bunnys with red eyes, New Zealands, and normally around 8 pounds. Currently, the largest rabbit in the world weighs 51.8 pounds.
A normal rabbit weighing a pound and a half ?! LOL i got a rabbit thats like 1/3 size of a normal rabbit and he weighs 2 pounds, a pound and a half is way too little for Even that size... For a normal rabbit i would say 4-6 pounds, depends of size :D
42 Kilos maybe, but that rabbit doesn't weigh 42 lbs. I seriously doubt that little girl could pick him up if he was that big. I've seen Flemish Giant rabbits who weighed nearly 30 lbs.

But I do agree with you that the way they lifted the bunny, I doubt he weighs anywhere near that claim. There is currently a Continental Giant in Europe that is 40 pounds. That is huge. Our friend has a French Lop that is 20 pounds and she is gigantic. I can't imagine what a 40 pounder would be like. A lot of bunny to love ...

A pound and a half? Maybe the little brush bunnies weigh that much but pet rabbits are usually around 4 lbs.
