they changed the name for a good reason. certain venues wouldn't let them play b/c they had an "evil" name. they changed the name to lamb of god b/c they figured it'd be funny to play music like theirs with a name like that and b/c nobody would stop them from playing. they did it for fans like me who live near places like darien lake which stopped slipknot from playing there at ozzfest a couple years ago b/c of their musical content, but they'd never stop lamb of god, just look at their name.

If anything Lamb of God is purer and more american than the thrash and death metal bands from the 80's and 90's because thier influence draws specifically from AMERICAN metal bands, where as those bands were influenced by a lot of European bands and movements.

Also, they've been around for 13 fucking years, and they've worked their asses off. They deserve some fucking recognition and publicity.
