I just watched Eight Below thanks to Dish, the mex satellite TV. I have been adopted by a wolf for 6 years, Soloco his name, my copilot on the VW bus & my companion everywhere for 6 years. I felt like this movie made me feel, the day he parted without a sound, on my knees, just a last exhale.

I buried Soloco under the Casahuate tree we have at the Hacienda. Nieve, a white female cat, her companion on cold nights, watched over Soloco's tomb 2 hours every morning, for a whole week.

Oh my gosh, I think if I was the one there to see the dog who didn't make it I would have just knelt down and bawled right there. The tears were stinging my eyes as I was watching this video. I saw the movie only once and only knew it was about some dogs in really cold weather. I was caught off guard, unaware that they would be left behind until the natural course of the movie and it was just heartbreaking the whole time. I totally want to watch this again.
