The reason why Nintendo put the A, B, X, and Y buttons that way is because they wanted the controls to be almost the same way as Super Nintendo controls. By the way great review. Now I want a DSi.

i was going to get the black one, because to me, i think the blue one is more girly

and now that i heard that the black one smudges up now i dont know....

is it me or DOES the blue one look girly? please let me know on ur thoughts

The black one doesn't smudge very badly it's hard to see but in the right light, it does smudge. I thought the blue one was girly in a way since to me the blue is too bright and 'baby blue'

I say get the black one because the smudging is very minor and doesn't stay for very long.

actually they had the rocker on the micro (which was portable). I think the only good thing about the rocker on the NDSI is taht you can adjust brightness.

The volume button is one of the best improvements over the Lite. The quiet was too quiet and the loud was dramatically louder than the quiet. The i can be dramatically quiet or loud and in between.

I like the volume buttons because not only does the slider have 2 volumes, loud and silent. Also if you hold down select while pushing up and down on the volume buttons it changes the brightness.

Can you point to the source where you read the matte black DSi was a fingerprint magnet? The glossy certainly WAS a fingerprint magnet, but I am getting it from both sides on the matte black.

yea the volume sucks i sometimes dont want to wake anybody up on my ds lite i put volume at lowest then worked it up but in dsi i ahve to turn it on and wake people up then change the volume
