CITV Ident (Opening) 1996

This is the earliest CITV ident I remember.

Obviously, there was others before this after I was born.

I remember the one from 1991-2 better than this; I was starting my A levels in 1996. It's strange that they were still using the same basic logo in 1996 though, albeit with more advanced morphing techniques.

Later in 96 they dropped the "CHILDRENS" from the logo.

And why was it strange? It's a cool logo!

But amazingly the crap that replaced this one was used for even longer!!!

I'll take that wager, lesse. There's Sweep, Animaniacs (Yakko, Wakko and Dot), Rupert, Odie, Wizadora, Pinky and the Brain, Tweety Pie, Daphne, A character from Hurricanes (name escapes me) and the lead Reboot character (again, forgot his name), The other characters I didn't name I couldn't identify at all and no, I'm not embarrassed that I still know the majority of them.

They guy from Reboot was called "Bob".

Yeah, he was, think I only watched half a series of that then dropped out.

That clock thing behind Rupert wasn't a character in any of the programmes, it was just a continuity device for Steven Ryde to use when linking programmes. Same with the orange cat.

That big blue thing I don't recognise at all!
